Vince bought a majority stake in Georgia Championship Wrestling (Black Saturday) and used the television slot to air WWF content, which us Southerners didn't like. Ole started a rival promotion which gained success quickly, and eventually Vince sold his acquisition to Jim Crockett. Ole then joined Jim Crockett Promotions, which essentially merged the Georgia territories with the Carolinas.

One of the most unhappy and irritable human beings to ever be involved in wrestling. He is not well liked by most wrestlers from his era and his shoot interviews throughout the years make it obvious why.
