Tex A@M also had all those things you mentioned. Even had Johnny Football and beat Bama. How’d that work out

We're 8-2 against you fruits. The 2 losses were predicated on our starting QB being out both times. Even then we got robbed in 2022 despite outplaying the elephants and kicked your arse this year.

We've been very good/elite since 2017. UGA has 11 losses in 7 years.

Texas has 13 in their last 3 years

Lost to OU, which is understandable.

Barely squeaked by Houston, K-State, TCU and Iowa State who they dwarf in terms of talent.

They beat Alabama, but I see them as a 9-3/10-2 team with an SEC schedule.

It’s like clockwork that folks posting here who say Texas is back aren’t actually Texas fans.

Yep, they really aren't that good. OU was kinda meh this year and we physically manhandled them in Dallas. I expect them to lose to Washington, who will throw all over them in a way no Big 12 team could (including us), as UT's pass defense is their weakness.

I constantly watch games where the winning team starts chanting "we want Texas".

Texas is back

Back from what? I have been following college football since the late 70's. Texas has had some good to great teams in that time but more often than not they have been overrated. The Vince Young team won their first NC since the 1960's. And that title itself was almost two decades ago.

Ain't no winning with y'all. If Texas had won the national championship every year for the last 20, you'd be saying "Well they're going to be the new Nebraska because tSECGrind."

Yeah but they haven’t. They have 1 national title in the last 50 years.

You’re tied for 7th for national titles in this conference since the modern era of college football.

The modern era started in 2021. Paying players is legal now.

The programs willing to break the rules ruled the previous era. Oklahoma, Alabama, much of the SEC. But those programs are generally from very poor, backwards states. They will suffer in this era.

More like Texas will be the new Tennessee.

you have just described like 10 programs (maybe a couple more, maybe a few less, but 10 is close). why do you think 2 of those 10 are better than the other 8?

Yeah, Alabama has won 18 NC (13 in the standardized poll era) and has won at least 1 NC every decade since 1920 (except the 50's and 80's)

Texas has 4- and every time they play an SEC team to win the NC, Texas loses (not to worry, so does Oklahoma)

Just what the SEC needed, more orange...

And plug ugly azz burnt orange to boot.

I'm going to start a petition to request that Texas change their colors from ugly azz burnt orange to green.

Then we can call you the, "Greenhorns."
