Can we just invade Ukraine and run them both out of town?? If there's $37T of minerals or whatever

Leading the mass, Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re appeared to criticise the President
Recalling one of Francis’s harshest criticisms of Mr Trump, the cardinal reminded millions of listeners that the late pope pleaded for people to “build bridges, not walls”.

Nothing builds bridges like singling one dude out for criticism and letting others get away with the same exact thing

I don't believe you, but it's difficult to find sources. Would you please share?
I did find a list of marriages per 1,000 on Wikipedia - USA was 43rd & China was outside of the top 100

So let me get this straight, the same LowTSoys that get triggered when by microaggressions want to use force & violence now?
Aaaaand they're planning to use it against the commanders of the most advanced military & surveillance network in all of history?

Bingo. I wasn't able to find xBABIP but his xAVG is an even .350. Ridiculously good, but a long way from .400.
I'd like to see him bat .360 just to beat Albert Pujol's .359 season. Judge has got to be the best combination of power & hitting since Albert if not Bonds

Young men today are very reclusive and intimidated to approach women. Raise the test levels and that might happen.
I'm 30 and a lot of guys my age were in college during peak #MeToo. It was beat into our brains that you could have fully consensual sex and still have your life ruined by some a-hole. Even fully acquitted, your reputation gets smeared. And if you have your shite together, a la being ready for marriage/kids, it's just not worth the risk of losing it all for some casual sex.
I think that the sentiment is dying off slowly, but what would help imo is stiffer and more regularly enforced penalties for false accusations.

We can't put all these regulations on ourselves and also compete with countries that DGAF. It's frustrating that it's a race to the bottom instead of a rising tide.

At what point has the government, even the legal system, been anything remotely approaching perfect? The FAA operates at 8-9+ sigma and they still make mostakes

You guys are having quite the argument here; I would encourage you not to miss the forest for the trees in your quibbling over interpretation.
Though both U.S. & global laws are solidly established, they are ultimately beholden to the supreme law of nature, "survival of the fittest."
Nonsensical interpretations of any country's laws will just lead to destruction of the country, and replacement with a "superior" set of laws. Unfortunately it's highly unlikely that any of us would get to define "superior. "

To play devils advocate you would need to present a counterargument. Where is your "coherent response"?

but I guess not. People here don’t seem to like being challenged. Very quick to anger.
And there it is. Instead of a challenge, you are simply pooing on others. You're not being taken seriously because you're not making a serious argument, or ANY argument whatsoever.

If your portfolio dips by 10% and you invested in it for 40 years then you just lost four years of income.
So, yeah, I'd be worried too.
If you saved properly & either read the stacks of financial literature available or hired a good advisor to do it for you then you'll be fine.
A 100% equities portfolio with a 3.25-3.5% annual withdrawal rate would not run out in any economy in the history of the Dow Jones, even during the Great Depression.
The only things to worry about are true black swan events like nuclear war or hyperinflation that would render the current global financial system useless.

Since you dodged my question, I'm just going to ask it again, have their been any recent government initiatives that saved $60-150B?
We could do whataboutism all day, but I'm much more pleased with progress over perfection. Other people seem to be all or nothing :dunno:
