Craziest I've ever seen downtown Athens was during the home Auburn games. They were perfect.
It's super gay that that game is no longer played in November - it was always such an important rivalry late in the year. With the chilly weather it's always felt like the height of football season.
I do feel kind've bad that Auburn always had such a tough end of season slate, but with 9 conference games, everyone has a hard arse schedule. It's such a lame reason to fiddle with a 100+ year old rivalry imo.
I just wonder if they'll look back on that decision & regret it. Maybe they'll move it back one day. But that's probably wishful thinking

TC is clearly a special college QB, what I'm saying is more in general:
There are a lot of guys WITH the measurables that turn out busts.
But honestly, I feel like lack of measurables is a way bigger deal than people give it credit for. Think of the "you vs. a REAL athlete in HS" stories posted on here. Measurables kill careers long before people get to the NFL.
There was a RB from my hometown, dude was great, won 3 straight state championships etc. and went on to play D1 in the ACC. He even had a decent career, earning 1,000+ yards from scrimmage and IIRC clocked a 4.41 40 time.
The problem was, even being as absolutely jacked as a human could be, he was 5'8" 185lb. And in a "game of inches" all those small differences in reach, max strength, durability etc. became huge disadvantages

I don't like it but Deboer beat UGA by his 4th game at Bama. He had some clunkers but managed to smoke 10-3 Missouri (34-0) and 9-4 LSU (42-13). Let's see if Lane can match that in year one before we go crazy here

I think we win but OU's Dline will be an excellent test for our OL. If we can get a push against them I'll feel a lot better about our offense the rest of the season.

I do wish baseball had some kind of recognition for best regular season record. It's such a relatively random sport that seems to have a lot more flukes than the NFL & NBA
The 104 win braves losing to the Phillies (that they'd already spanked all season) in the divisional put a really bad taste in my mouth a few years back.

Lane has at least proved that he can reload a bit imo. Golding will have to do that next year, but he definitely can coach well enough to take advantage of his current stud QB

There's a reason people are so methodical about commercial airline & especially military grade equipment. You need lots of planning & logistics to execute the mission without screwing something else up. In a way it's like a surgeon at the operating table
