Fans of those schools are the only ones with the confidence to admit that Texas may pose a challenge in the SEC.
Coat-tail riding schools like Ole Miss talk a lot because they know they're getting knocked down in the pecking order with Texas and OU coming in.

You would think that with all of the Texas money and the popularity of football in their home state that the Shorthorns would be a football power year in and year out. For some reason it never happens. I can't wait for them to be an annual 8-4 team in the SEC. They aren't Bama or Georgia, they just think they are.

We're 8-2 against you fruits. The 2 losses were predicated on our starting QB being out both times. Even then we got robbed in 2022 despite outplaying the elephants and kicked your arse this year.
