re: Even though OU won and the play is irrelevant...

Yep, OU screwed it up, I was not happy about it during the game. Kneel it twice before going for the TD, and at worst, Vols have the ball with barely any time left on their own 1.
I think anyone paying attention to football the last decade or so knows you never give a good offense the ball with any time, even if you can go up two scores. Just not worth the risk.

re: It's time to revoke USCw and Nebraska's "Blue Blood" honors

They can claim 100 if they want to, but they only have 3 legitimate ones.
I agree with AUTiger somewhat, in that I think the blue bloods are split into a higher-tier and lower-tier, with the four he mentions as the higher-tier and the other four (Michigan, USC, Texas, Nebraska) as the lower tier. But there's enough separation between that lower-tier and the rest of CFB to give them blue blood status.

Not correct, KU is the University of Kansas.
As someone said, all the flagship schools of the Big 8 are The University of [STATE NAME], but go by OU, NU, CU, MU, KU. In my opinion, that order of the letters just sounds better than having the U go first (UO sounds awful), though I'm not sure if that was the reason for it.

Looking at the highest viewership games for Texas/OU that you listed...
16,620,000- Texas at Ohio State 2025
13,190,000- Georgia at Texas 2024
9,670,000- Michigan at Oklahoma 2025
9,450,000- Texas at Texas A&M 2024
9,190,000- Texas at Michigan 2024
7,630,000- Texas vs Oklahoma 2024
The majority of these games are OU and Texas playing each other or playing against a Big 10 school. One of the SEC matchups is a highly anticipated restart of the A&M rivalry, which is clearly an outlier.
Do you think the SEC would rather OU and Texas had gone to the Big 10? It is the height of SEC arrogance to think that two bluebloods joining the conference does nothing for its profile. It's laughable.

re: 3 Annual Opponents “4 Year Cycle”

I'm not sure how feasible it is with other teams' schedules, but I think it'd be better if all teams that don't absolutely have three permanent rivals they must play each year (thinking Texas here) rotated their third, least-necessary permanent team every four years between each other.
That means you'd play more teams more than half of the time. For example, OU could be playing teams like Arkansas and A&M (along with Ole Miss) 8 out of the next 12 years instead of just 6 out of 12 for Arkansas/A&M and 12 out of 12 for Ole Miss.
My ideal situation for OU would be that we play Texas every year, and then we rotate our other two permanent opponents every four years. That's probably not workable, but that would give us the most exposure to all teams in the conference while keeping the one rivalry we absolutely have to have every year.

Damn I had no idea this barrel was a thing, this is one of the better trophies I’ve seen for a CFB game

You didn't really force it, but I'll give you credit for picking it up and scoring with it once Jackson decided to toss the ball backwards.
re: Who in the SEC actually considers Mizzou to be a top 3 rival

I like playing Mizzou, though it's not a rivalry. No issues with OU playing them annually. It's just one of nine games, it's not like we're playing nine Missouris.
Unfortunately I don’t think he plays UTEP this year so we may never know just how good he is

Untrue. If a federal judge has issued a ruling, you abide by it and appeal it to the higher court. You do not ignore it, regardless of whether you think the judge is an idiot overstepping his boundaries.
“I’m super patriotic! I love the Constitution! It’s just not necessary here!”
If Obama had acted even remotely similar to Trump and the GOP of today, y’all would have a stroke. These frickers are ridiculous. I’m out, enjoy the echo chamber.

I’m an attorney who understands why we have the institutions and processes in this country for good reason. Social media has made it so the people who can’t think past their nose are picking who runs the country, and we’ll all be worse off for it.
Appealing is totally constitutional and the American way to respond to this. If that’s all he does, good for him.

Sweet, please tell all MAGA people to let everyone know they hate America and the Constitution. Spread that message loud and clear. Y’all have been hiding behind fake patriotism for way too long, let it all out in the open.

So he is actively saying he hates the Constitution and sees it as a rag with words on it? Is this a conservative thing to do, to just refuse to follow the Constitution?
I feel like I need to explain myself, unfortunately. Disregarding federal judge orders is just as much as of a dismissal of the Constitution as someone grabbing people’s guns. If you disregard federal judges, or federal election results, you hate the Constitution and are an enemy of the American people.

It doesn't matter who they're playing, you always root against Texas.
Don’t know a single person here in OK that likes Walters, he sucks. I assume all the idiots in the small towns are the ones who support him

This board has zero critical thinking and reading comprehension skills. That Fox article says the intelligence community’s report stated that Russian activities did not “impact” the 2016 elections and that based on this report, the Obama Administration lied when it said Russia “attempted through cyber means to interfere in, if not actively influence, the outcome of an election.”
Those two statements are entirely compatible with each other. You can attempt to influence or interfere with something without having an impact. It was proven, much more than any fraud in the 2020 elections, that Russia did attempt to use misinformation to influence the 2016 election.
Sane Americans will know this is just a BS attempt to distract. Same Americans also know that the MAGA movement is full of dullards who will believe anything if it implicates people they hate. Imagine thinking this is some “gotcha” and simultaneously thinking 2020 wasn’t an attempt to overturn the Constitution.

I'm going to have to see us put anything resembling an offense on the field before I start thinking we're a tough game for UT.
