It wrote the contract and it's likely going to be played out in Georgia courts.

The contract was initiated by the Classic City Collective and not the university.

As a contributor to the Classic City Collective, I expect that the money that was transferred within the state of Georgia be returned in full.
That isn't an unrealistic or punitive demand.

Wilson declined arbitration, so if the process requires that the entire contract be fulfilled, so be it.

The lawyer in Missouri is a ________________.

Meanwhile, the worst case scenario for Mizzou is that they might have to vacate their wins for having an ineligible player involved in those games if a nunc pro tunc judgement is rendered.

Georgia is seeking more that 30K.

As I pointed out already, Georgia has to go with the breech of contract route because Wilson declined arbitration.

Whoever is advising Wilson that it was not a legal contract is not doing him any favors.

quote:

The $30k should definitely have been repaid. The liquidated damages part is bullshite.

Therein lies the legal aspects of trying to recoup the money already paid out.

Installment contracts in Georgia are typically not severable contracts unless an agree is struck. Sounds like Wilson simply flipped us the middle finger and our only recourse was to invoke the stipulations of the entire installment contract.

All Georgia has to prove is a breech of an installment contract.

You're right, Wilson should have simply repaid the 30K, but that is not what he did.

Don't think so

A legally established Installment contract based on Georgia codes.
All funds were transferred within the State of Georgia which establishes jurisdiction.

The Columbia lawyer can claim "no contract" all day long, but his client already accepted a payment.

We’ll see who wins

Accepting a partial payment and keeping it while entering the portal establishes an installment contract obligation.

If Mizzou played an ineligible player, you are possibly looking at vacating your wins this season.

It looks like this lawyer in Boone County may end up screwing over the university by establishing ineligibility.

Ole Miss can't lose.

If Ole Miss beats Georgia it will screw up Lane's portal plans.

But alas, will these former Ole Miss coaches be more loyal to the moment or to their new calling with Lane?

Meanwhile, Kirby is plenty content to make a serious run for another national championship. Kirby knows that this Georgia team can beat anybody with the right effort.
quote:

LSU will expect to be in the playoff 75% of the time he’s there

Try 100%

The expectations at this point are through the roof.

Lane will be under about the same amount of pressure that DeBoer has been.

And some idiots want more conference games.

Kirby Smart warned everyone that 8 more conference losses would eliminate quality SEC programs from the bracket.

In addition, it means one less home game per school every other year. That takes money out of the local economies.

Exactly how much of a kickback did Sankey get for screwing over the SEC?

quote:

It you're looking for a team to back in the playoffs this year...

Since Kirby Smart came to Georgia, every single one of his high school recruits has earned either an SEC championship ring, or a national championship ring, or both.

Kirby is up front about telling recruits that they have signed on to develop both mental and physical toughness.

Indiana beats Georgia by 3 scores for the natty

Been sniffing butane?

And then the same people have Georgia as their champion pick?

Just like FSU lost their QB a couple of years ago, Alabama doesn't have much of a running attack without Jam Miller. Your TE being out doesn't help as well.

Meanwhile, Georgia has an improved defense.

but all Alabama fans seem to think about is beating Georgia...so....congrats?

Wow... This seems like a Jimbo Fisher meme.

Jimbo spent most of his time thinking about the Bama game every year.

I just don’t see it this year for the Dawgs.

Actually, if Colbie Young and Drew Bobo are ready to go in early January, I wouldn't bet against the Dawgs.

The offseason got here in a hurry for you!

By choice....

Went to a 12 team bracket to accommodate teams like Notre Dame.

Epic fail and then they turned down a bowl invite. :booboo:

...and didn't bail on Ole Miss with Lane. So he's got that going for him.

You make it sound like Lane asked him to go to LSU....

He was one of the few who wasn't asked to go.

Golding turned that around and acted like he was a principled loyalist to Old Miss to save face.
quote:

What exactly is Lane going to tell him he doesn’t already know from the last 3 times playing ole miss?

Maybe Lane will advise Kirby about how to avoid getting run off of the road on the way to he Sugar Bowl.

:dunno:

Forget it. We don’t stand a chance

The season is dedicated to Ms. Kimberly Elaine Allen.

Georgia is going to bring its A+ effort to every game.

Georgia fans have been lulled into thinking they are better than they are based on the SECCG.

I knew that we had turned the corner when Kirby pulled the defensive starters for the last third of the Mississippi State game.

Since then...

Georgia gave up 274 total yards in the Texas game.

Georgia gave up 250 total yards in the Georgia Tech game.

Georgia gave up 209 total yards in the Alabama game.

All three teams are currently ranked.

And in these three games, Georgia has given up a combined total of 26 points.

Georgia already beat Ole Miss with Lane on the sideline. :spank:

They mostly outplayed uga on the road the first time and will be all fired up for payback

??

Georgia had 510 yards of total offense to 351 yards of total offense for Ole Miss.

This is the game where Kirby came up with the quote:
“The one thing we are, we’re hard to kill. We won’t go away.”

Yep, Oklahoma stole that quote from Kirby Smart.

Serves them right for plagiarism.

So your assumption is the UGA defense won’t play better but yours will?

Tulane just totaled 421 yards of offense in Oxford.
