Three Questions

1) Are you pulling for Texas, Ohio State or Meteor?

2) What has to happen in order for Texas to pull the upset?

3) Do you believe the rumors that Ryan Day is stepping down after the year, because of death threats made to his family after the Michigan game?

1) Texas, you had trouble winning out of the Big 12, the SEC has toughen UTexas up

2) Just play normally, no hype, OSU has the pressure on their side

3) No

I wouldn’t say our entitlement is destroyed. I still have mine I mean, winning NCs is still the standard at UA

give it a couple of years

The fact is Alabama averages at least one NC every decade since the 1920's ( only two decades they did not was the 50's and 80's)

Alabama only allows a non-NC winning coach so long (at most 4 years) and then they are gone.

The fanbase isn't the reason Alabama has won a lot

You need to do more thinking (and perhaps research) on that point.

quote:

And yet Bama resides so deeply in your psyche ..........

He thinks more about Alabama than I, an Alabama fan, do on a daily basis

quote:

And who exactly would prove him wrong... as opposed to facing a possible lawsuit?

Just keep believing that this is an easy fix.......

It is not an easy fix, you are correct. However Alabama has proven time and time again that it knows how to correct itself. I will state it again, since the 1920's Alabama has won at least 1 NC every decade except the 50's and 80's (see Alabama fix it both times)

I’m sorry my dude, but if you don’t think there will be a drop off at Bama based on losing the GOAT, NIL and the portal, I’m not sure what to tell you.

If I were a betting man I’d bet my home that the new coach won’t duplicate the type of success Saban had at Bama

Now, I know there are scores of you who believe Bama made the Bear and Saban, and that’s fine to believe it.

But it’s simply not true.

We knew there would be a drop-off after Coach Saban just as we knew there would be a drop-off after Coach Bryant. However Alabama has had 5 NC winning coaches and 4 of them won multiple NC.

If you think that Alabama will not find another NC winning coach you are fooling yourself. !00 years of Alabama football and 18 titles tells you different.

Replacing DeBoer will not negate the Learfiled deal.

??????

I do not know that one, can you explain it to me

Neither were skull drug by Vandy or Okla. Those two losses deserve further examination and discussion

If that continues to happen Alabama will be looking for a new head coach. As someone has pointed out, we are not an understanding fanbase, willing to watch the program slip for long. 3 years is the limit

But it is also the reason why Alabama has won at least 1 NC every decade since the 1920's (except the 50's and 80's)

Prior to NIL The SEC was by far the most corrupt conference when it came to recruiting & paying players.
The SEC had a distinct recruiting advantage because they ignored NCAA rules while the Ohio State's & Michigan's played by the rules.

In this NIL era the Ohio State's & Michigan's are now doing business like the SEC has done for decades, except OSU & UM have much deeper pockets.
That's why Caleb Downs and Quinshon Judkins are at Ohio State this year instead of Alabama & Ole Miss.
It's why Underwood is heading to Michigan instead of LSU.

NIL is the worst thing to ever happen to the SEC because the Squeaky Clean programs that were hamstrung for playing by the NCAA Rules are now able to play the same "pay to play" recruiting game that the SEC has owned for decades.

The Big Ten is taking over folks,
Don't shoot the messenger, it's just the Cold Hard Truth

If you think NIL is going to save the Big Ten you are wrong.

:rotflmao:
Oh no...

He will be missed as will his posts. I found many of them entertaining.

Rest in Peace

"But DeBour has won big before!" don't forget that BK also played for a national title game himself.

You really want to go there?

Yet never were we told that we were staring down the barrel of a gun.

Given what little they actually had that statement was hyperbole

Alabama is the most corrupt CFB program in history, not even SMU is close. Anything else you goobers have to say is just projection.

What if Vandy sneaks into the playoffs though?

Then Vandy wins it all...

:dude:

Their players accept money from runners

They've been accused of paying players by NFL agents

Other coaches in college football think he's cheating

Their players have taken money from coaches on staff

Their players have been accused of taking banned NCAA substances

They had a huge memorabilia scandal

Their coaches have committed NCAA recruiting violations

accused, think, etc..... so no proof.
:rotflmao:

Hear these things all the time about very successful coaches. Does not make them true (or to be honest, false) Until they find proof though, innocent until proven guilty.

However it must frost you backside to realize that Alabama in the last 15 years has won more NC in football than your team has won in its entire history.

Did the teams in the top half of the conference really want to add Texas, who beat Alabama at their place last year

Like every other SEC team that occasionally beats Alabama, the Texas Longhorns are still clinging to that victory. They are quickly becoming a true SEC team.

Congrats, it looks like the SEC bump is helping Texas.

Ranking are not nearly as important now as they were. All you have to do is be one of the top 12 teams and you are in.

Goodness I remember the AP/UPI polls era.

15 yard unsportsmanlike like conduct penalties + 5 yard delay of game would be more effective than a quarter million fine.

Yep. Imagine if the fans who threw the items cost their teams the game because of those penalties. They would need armed escorts out of the stadium

How 'bout ALABAMA?

So glad to have made it!

:rotflmao:- more like who else is invited to the Alabama Invitational. Alabama has missed the playoffs twice since it started.
Didn't LSU lose to Wisconsin and Florida State the last time they played
