Kinda interesting that his playing background is on defense, but he’s spent most of his career coaching offense. Don’t see that very often.
I thought that was interesting as well. Hope it works out. Seems like Brady recommend him

Is he bringing Joe Brady's playbook back with him?

At the very least we need some guys in here with ambition and something to prove as opposed to older guys who have been around the block, are sitting on huge buyouts, and are “last in in the building first one to leave” types at this point in their career.

Who tf said I didn’t support him. Just said I’m not excited. I hope he does great but he is far from a sure thing.

Wait and see type of hire. He seems to be well regarded in NFL circles, McDaniels was going to hire him as Colts OC before he (McDaniels) backed out on the job. Could potentially be a good hire but having never been a coordinator before, there's nothing to evaluate him on
Given his background and career progression it's either going to be a one year thing with a lot of success before he takes an NFL OC job or the Peter Principle in action.

Eh, I'm still more curious who we hire as DC. While not great, offense wasn't the biggest issue this year.

Clearly Saban saw something in him to bring him back.
McDaniels was going to hire him as oc for the colts. He is highly thought of. Lots of potential. Was probably going to be an nfl oc very soon anyway. Probably likes the opportunity to come in for a couple of years (if not one), run a familiar system, and get fast tracked/more money. Let’s see what he can do.

I like that we’re going to keep continuity on that side of the ball. Our offense was very good last year considering the circumstances.

Could be a bust or could be amazing. I’m not excited.
if you’re really an LSU fan, he checks all the boxes you want. Young, experience in NFL and college, familiarity with our offensive system...there’s not a better candidate out there that we could have gotten that I am aware of.

I’m sorry for you LSU fans...... He was part of the Jaguars organization. Gotta be a kiss of death.
J/K... I know nothing about the person.

Now we just need to close the deal on Freeman

Allegedly he is bringing DJ Mangas with him as PGC as well. Mangas was the analyst at Brady’s side in the booth at LSU

The Mangas hire has been confirmed by LSU, he will be PGC.

Absolutely lol
Peetz was recommended from Brady
Not excited or disappointed in the hire. Which might be a good thing

Probably means Russ is the odd man out which is a bummer. Hopefully we can keep him around as an analyst and elevate him when one of those two moves on in a few years.

Well, I do like that we're finding guys that want to improve themselves.
So far I like the hire.
