LSU’s offense continued the trend from the last many years, bats went ice cold when it mattered most - the postseason.
The team has done the same thing as they do every year despite 7 different senior classes since 2017, start out hot, collapse mid to late SEC play, fall short in post season. We can point fingers all we want on individual players etc but the consistent trend points to a systemic issue that has yet to be addressed.
We have found ways to lose in critical moments when it has mattered most. Some seasons it’s been offense, some pitching, some defense, some a combination of the above.
Will that change next season? I’m not sure, we have all hopes that will change every offseason and have yet to see it happen yet. Of course I’ll always cheer and root for them to but hard to have hope it’ll change to be honest

Great win. WV a scrappy team, let’s bring the bats again tomorrow
re: Sydney Berzon to Oklahoma
Posted by Tigerbait357 on 6/6/25 at 6:25 pm
Yeah, her numbers were better this year with the bump in competition quality but yes Landry has always been very solid
Berzon is solid too although this wasn’t her best season for whatever the reason may be. If she was truly not fully healthy like Beth mentioned then that could explain why she was all over the place. I guess we will this coming year with her

It seemed fairly obvious Berzon was either checked out or potentially injured like Torina was saying when her pitch velocity was down the upper 60s to low 60s all year. She isn’t perfect by any stretch but her pitching was also not nearly as good this season as it was her first two seasons. I’m not sure why…
Either way Rocha is one of the best pitching coaches in the entire game. They did well and improved Landry from the Cajuns
But LSU hasn’t had quality pitcher development overall in general in a while tbh. We will see if Jayden develops over the next couple years.

I’m sure she’ll be fine, they did a nice job with Landry from the Cajuns and they have a top pitching recruit coming in so OU gonna be OU till Patty retires

Heard wanting to add one more (obviously means adding one more potential big)

Believe they are prioritizing players they feel they have a better shot with
Like Harping is a great guard but they are also in mix for Fleary, Trinity Jones, Abii, Robinson, etc who are all 5 star recruits. We signed a very guard/wing heavy class this past year so its not exactly a super pressing need tbh but they badly want Autumn as she is someone similar to Morris that is a big time PG recruit
Abii is from Texas but her dad/family is from Shreveport area, lots of Louisiana connections.
And word on street was Harping was trending with schools like Duke/Iowa
