Can’t believe I got to see the Williamson legacy game in person. May my bloodline never forget this moment

It's not a legacy game if it's just the first time out of dozens that he does this.

This wasn’t no Multiple guys out UK like all their other losses. This was full roster UK.

Even at full strength that roster is complete arse. It's like they decided to build a 90s roster just to have them play modern basketball.

If I had a son id tell him that football is only a short period of his life and that honoring your commitments will pay off in the long run. Id tell him if you really want to make it in the NFL and want to put in that work, youll have that opportunity regardless of how you are coached in college IF you are dedicated enough.

I've got a couple of them and I can assure you that a one size fits all approach to parenting is not gonna work. How you'd advise your kid in that situation is pretty much always going to depend on the circumstances. Are we talking about a guy whose one and only reason for transferring is not starting as a freshman or being homesick? If so, I agree with you. You have to grow up and learn how to deal with what is, in the grand scheme of things, some very minor personal adversity on your own in college. If we're talking about a kid who was sold a bill of goods as a recruit or has an opportunity to go from an FCS or G-5 program to a competitive P-4 program though, you'd be crazy to tell them not to hit the portal.

i bet its already been signed

Most likely. The announcement will just be delayed now. We're not winning a championship with this guy. He's soft. His teams are soft. It's a shame. Fortunately I don't think he's so bad that the next guy will be facing a total rebuild. More Ray Perkins than Mike Dubose.

YOU MAKE THE CHANGE DOWN 24-0???? SO YOU WERE WILLING TO DO IT BUT ONLY ONCE IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE????

It's like he wanted to give Ty one more chance but failed to account for the fact that if he didn't get it done the backup may come in down 20 or 24.

He gets paid too much to avoid hard decisions like that.

How could this team lose two games in the ACC .

Cristobal and Beck.
I know they are de facto professionals now, but I just don't particularly care for reporters putting an 18 year old on the spot like that. I mean what exactly do you want him to say to that question?
You mean we invented Russki Harsin. There is no private property in Soviet Auburn.
So are we going with Soviet Harsin or Comrade Harsin?

but he's made some insane catches too. It isn't an inability thing.

Even those have typically been plays where he caught the ball with his forearms and body. So part of it is definitely an inability thing. A WR who needs to use his arms and body to secure the ball 100% of the time has a low ceiling. Couple that with him being small/not very strong and you basically have a guy who is only useful on vertical routes against single coverage, but who also frequently drops the ball even when he beats that coverage. Hopefully a new voice in his ear will help him, but I am not optimistic.

Most 200 yard games in NFL history.

A 200 yard 4 TD game from a 31 year old RB is practically unheard of. In fact I bet it's the only one in history. And on 36 carries in freezing cold Green Bay. He's a genetic anomaly.
Praise be to our great and powerful Dark Lord Saban, may his reign of terror forever traumatize our enemies, but starting around 2018-2019 his recruiting classes became more and more loaded with headcases and "character concerns" poster boys like this dipshit. To the point that I think by around 2022 that element had established itself as a genuine problem in the locker room. Say what you will about this team, but they have at least cut out a lot of the stupid, selfish football we have seen the last few years.

But why? Literally why does it matter?

Almost every talking head on ESPN is a clown. Why would you expect anything more from them?

I didn't realize that people still watched anything on ESPN besides live sports. This is the network that prioritized Stephen A. Smith. Letting them piss you off means they win.
Yeah, it's not the sleeves they needed to worry about coming off. It was the pants.

I think Alabama can actually have some success running the ball..

quote:

Not sure if that’s because Bama is broke or maybe they spend the $$$ on the current roster?

We aren't ever going to be able to spend what Texas, Aggy, OSU, Michigan, etc. do and we don't have one or two rich boosters propping up the whole operation like Oregon, Miami, and TTU and we aren't the academic arm of the most successful and lucrative cult in world history like BYU, but I wouldn't say we are broke. We are probably in the top 20 in NIL. Those are the programs most of the pure bag chasers are going to though. Based on comments Morgan has made I do think we prioritize allocating money to guys already on the roster, so it seems like they value loyalty and roster continuity in a time when both have become exceedingly rare.

No one thinks we can win. Literally no one. I’ll take those odds.

We need to consult with Dabo to learn some of his most effective Lil Ole Clemson messaging.
quote:

A lot of our pass protection issues comes from needing to use backs to chip the edge so much that it is easy to overwhelm the interior OL with an additional pass rusher from the interior linebackers.

And we often still call plays where every route is 15+ yards downfield against those extra rushers. If you know that the OL struggles to pick up blitzes and call a bunch of plays that require great blitz pick ups, that's more of a playcalling issue to me. I just don't think they've been terrible. Not great, but there have probably been a dozen sacks this season that can be directly blamed on the playcalls or Ty. South Carolina has a bad passblocking OL. They were giving up pressure against 3 man rushes all season. You at least typically have to blitz to make us look like shite.
quote:

Because it is terrible. They pass protect poorly. They run block poorly.

They pass protect adequately. Well at times. A lot of our issues there have been playcalling and Ty holding the ball too long. The run blocking is definitely atrocious though.
