You are joking, right? All of the other regions are in a "basketball season frame of mind" for two reason: 1. It's basketball season and conference play just started!! 2. Because their teams aren't playing the NCG. People will still watch this game. It's funny that you say Saban is killing football but you didn't mention any of the other teams. There have been 52 individual teams in the BCS or CFP since 1998, but only 19 different schools. Top 5 participants in the BCS or CFP(wins) - Alabama 8(5), Oklahoma 7(1), Florida St 5(2), Ohio St. 5(2), Clemson 4(1). Saban just makes the most of his opportunities when he gets there.

"Saban just makes the most of his opportunities when he gets there."

This is true. This is also the problem. It's not entertaining anymore to see the SAME team win every year no matter how much it thrills Alabama fans. The thrill is gone. And if Saban doesn't stop, it is going to destroy the college game itself. What he has created is a monster that cannot be dealt with. Okay, he did it. We were all impressed...................at first.

It's time to take your foot off of the gas pedal before folks think of Alabama as insane football power freaks willing to destroy everything just for one more national championship fix. Your team has won enough to last several generations of fans. How frickin many do you need to feel like somebody important? Put the program down. Step away from the stadium. Save your soul before it's too late.

I hope this is a troll. Otherwise you’re just making us LSU fans look bad.. and people already think we bitch too much.

If the teams were reversed and LSU had achieved what Bama has I guarantee you would be singing a different tune. I would imagine winning doesn’t get old for the winners. It’s just like UCLA in basketball back in the day.. eventually it will come to an end. Clemson and Bama are far and away the two best teams in CFB so I have no problem with them playing over and over.

Remember about 15 years ago when Bama was floundering and everyone was calling us delusional for believing that we were still a top program? Well, karma has done bit you all in the a$$.

I’d rather beat Saban head-to-head and have LSU be responsible for the fall of the dynasty than just have Saban retire

Call it LSU fan delusion but that would be way more fun to watch

Jesus, LSU has been melting for 7 years now. 1/9/12 really crushed y’alls souls. I hope Saban coaches another 10 years just to see y’all cry. Bunch of crying, whiney babies.

How about just competing and beating us?? It can be done you just have to want it and work for it. It will not be handed to you.

Basketball? Didn't John Wooden destroy that back in the 1960s? I'm almost positive he did, and I'd bet anything the OP will back me up on this.

Yes - we should all be grounded, rational, sane people like the LSU fan base.

Why not enjoy a once in a generation dynasty? It will come to an end.

I’m going to assume you’re really from Oregon and don’t understand what’s happened the last decade.

Alabama fans yelled and hee haw’d for a few decades about how they’d own college football if they had the right coach or if the NCAA wasn’t crippling them. We all had a good laugh about it and then they turned out to be right. They’re the worst fans possible to be experiencing this kind of dynasty run because they feel entitled to it. That’s why we don’t enjoy it in the slightest.

It's not just Bama. This entire year it felt like there were an overall lack of upsets. The rich are getting richer. Part of what made college football so fun was it never went as you'd expect, but now every team that is supposed to win does, it really takes out the excitement. Sadly, the NFL is now more interesting to watch for being the opposite of CFB.

And you can't say now that the NBA isn't ruined, Golden State is almost a sure bet to win it all! Besides maybe 2 or 3 other teams, why do the others even play the game? As someone mentioned earlier athletes want to win, but it just isn't possible for some of these organizations to field competitive teams.

The problem is that our society pays professional athletes ungodly amounts of money to play a game for a living. In high school, most people play the game for pure sport, and CFB would be a lot better if it trended back towards that instead of the current direction it is going which is the opposite of that

We know you are just having fun, but to continue the pretense: what would you have the secrant Bama posters do? Petition the school to fire Coach Saban; start a GoFundMe to hire a hit man; spread the N word around campus in reference to the football team; what practical suggestions to you have for us to remedy our catastrophic condition? We need help.

Actually, I am being serious. Lack of competition has totally ruined women's college basketball. UCONN might be the only school enjoying the sport. Everyone else could give a shite. College football is no different and if the same team keeps winning everything every year or being put in the CFP whether they win their conference or even their division or not, other teams and other areas of the country will find something else to entertain themselves with. This is a real danger to the continuation of the sport itself if competition dies off or simply gives up.

What Saban has built at Alabama is closer to a semi-pro team than a collegiate team. He has somehow been able to find that zone which exist between college football and pro football. THIS is the problem for college football as there is no answer for it yet it is hurting the overall competitive nature of the sport. In my opinion, no other team in the history of the sport has been able to enter this zone. Perhaps scholarship limits are part of the answer whereby the quality is spread around a little bit more.

Alabama fans, spoiled to the core with this are mostly incapable of seeing this but many of us see it plain as day. Saban, if he passes the bear in championships, should respectfully say "I have done enough" and step aside for the overall good of the sport. If he does this, his legacy will be revered rather than despised. There has to be a point where enough is enough and beyond that point is simply selfish madness by the one perpetrating the harm. Does Saban want to be remembered as a legend or a lunatic? It's his choice to make.
