Thanks for creating this thread. What do you think the odds are of ending the current regime?

I posted already that you can bet the CIA is all over this. I'm sure we are there trying to turn some of the Generals. So, you can bet we are involved as much as possible without visible military on the ground.

Imagine if Trump can get Cuba and Iran to fold up!!

They are going to have to find some room on Mt Rushmore.
I can guarantee you the CIA is working like hell to over throw the current regime there. Knocking off the leadership in Iran would be the best thing to happen to the middle east since Moses lead the Israelis out of Egypt.

I'm guessing the best way for that to happen is to turn a few of the top generals in the Iranian guard. Offer them a few million each snd a condo in Miami. That'd do it for me.
Congress did give the President authority to charge tariffs including the following situation:

Section 301 (Trade Act of 1974): Grants authority to retaliate against "unfair" foreign trade practices, investigated by the USTR.

It seems like this could be applied to most situations. However, I don't think the President has the authority to make blanket worldwide changes to the tariffs. So you can't change it worldwide but you can on an individual basis. That's how I read it anyway. If I'm right then Trump must get the USTR to agree that a country is trading unfairly.

What's the time frame Trump? 1 year? 5 years? 20 years? We don't want to be in the nation building business.

I'm guessing until they can have an election. 12-18 months?
Guarantee its up. Fast military action that gets concluded quickly will get bought. Especially if it lowers oil prices.

At least there was an offensive player behind the Miami pick 6. No one was behind the Bama player. You couldn't see who Mateer was throwing it to.

Make sure you're here tomorrow when you lose to Indiana.

Bama wins big tomorrow. Too many curses for IU. 4 week curse, Heisman curse, #1 first time curse, and undefeated curse.
Let me lay it out for you:

1) Heisman curse
2) 1st time #1 curse
3) undefeated monkey on back
4) 1 month since they played/11 days since Bama played
5) 100 years to the day since Bama played and won our first Rose Bowl and 1st NC
6) Indiana played much easier schedule
7) Bama wins 90% of the time in last 60 years as 7pt or worse dog

Bama wins easy.

re: Saban & Alabama Were Very Lucky

The luckiest thing to happen to Alabama is Wallace Wade over 100 years ago. From that moment on we made our iwn luck. Bear come to Bama because Wallace Wade won the Rose bowl 100 years ago. No way Saban doesn't go to T-town if Bear hadn't done what he did.

We may never see an influence like him again in this sport

We had it before with Bear Bryant. There will be another and he will also be in Tuscaloosa.

I think Texas and Vandy had better resumes than ND but we should NEVER put 2 group of 5 teams in the POs.
I see the Heisman curse coming. It fits the scenario perfectly. It has to be on a QB. Check. And a team that's not used to being there. Check. From a team that played an easy schedule. Check. And against a team that played a very tough schedule. Check.
My prediction is Bama wins by 2 TDs.

re: Talty the Kicker

He redeemed himself from the first game. Funny that their great kicker missed 2 FGs.
I met a guy that played in that game. Wu Winslett. I was 16 and he was in his 70s. I missed a deer while hunting and he paddled me according to tradition of the camp we were at. Etched in my memory forever.
Its where our tradition of winning championships all began. Bear Bryant listened to that game on the radio and said I want to play for Bama. Without that game we dont get him. It changed everything for us.
Yall don't want to play us again, huh?
Believe it or not, I went to that game. I was 9 years old.
I remember the Bear getting a personal foul penalty for cussing the refs way out on the field. Easy to say but he wasn't very happy.

Yes, and I'm still PO'd Florida State was selected #1 and my team finished #2 when we beat them head-to-head during the 1993 season. Where was all my support then?

Since 1993? Bama has won 6 Nattys since then. And lost 3 or 4 more. Y'all are as irrelevant as any group of 5 team since then.
