I just went searching through some Division II forums and nobody was talking about Trinidad before his season except that he was QB3 at Ferris splitting some reps with the starter; then he tore up Grand Valley State and got written off as GVSU's defense being the issue; ended up getting nominated for the Division II equivalent of the Heisman (which he did not win); and finally transferred to Ole Miss.

If he was that much of a dude at Ferris, that entire community of football fans missed it. Somehow I think Lane helped, call it a hunch.

Week 1 was about the only high point of the 2025 season for me but I get the sentiment

Even the Clemson fans sitting next to me agreed that call was bs

Then they went on to complain the refs were paid off by the SEC and hate Clemson immediately for the rest of the game like two minutes later. Nice people, great road trip; but they’re even worse about the ref thing than we are

I think the general view was he was a good coach but not a slam dunk, until he got Ole Miss setup for a deep playoff run last year. Timing can be everything for perception

It’s baseball. You never know when the “best team” won’t win it. NC State got screwed but MS State did everything right to get there and win it. Can’t fault them for it

It sucked but the reason it isn’t worth getting antsy over is because we’re gonna be pretty good at all three sports next season

I only started watching him to follow the Lane Kiffin coaching search saga and never understood what the board’s beef with him is. Could be older content. He comes off as way more rational than the other Locked On podcasts that auto play live after I listen to him in the morning, out of the ACC especially

A little bit. He’s earned a shite season, even one this bad, but and I still have faith he’ll fix things. But it was a shockingly bad year still. If he pulls an Ed O and follows it up with another season like this he’ll deserve the hot seat. Right now he’s fine and I trust him to do his thing

To the people who point out his SEC record — the SEC is the hardest it’s ever been, and the man has hardware. Also it’s baseball. You aren’t going to win every game no matter how good you are
