Ole Miss/LSU is without a doubt a top tier SEC rivalry. In my opinion it always was but now it definitely is. It has history and the two schools are very intertwined.

-114 meetings total
-Vaught vs Dietzel was one of the best matchups every year for a time. Between 1955-1962 they accounted for 5 out of 8 SEC titles
-Cannon’s Halloween run
-LSU kept Ole Miss from going undefeated in both 1959 and 1960
-2003 both won the West but LSU won the game then the Natty
-Coach O and Kiffin were both their HC
Basketball
-Johnny Neumans career high game came against LSU
Baseball
-Ole Miss greatest coach was a natty player at LSU
This rivalry is across sports, has history, and has hate. Also MS and LA are basically the same state. This is a foundational of the conference rivalry I think

RRS in the Cotton Bowl with the Texas State Fair.
The one I'm looking forward to the most is LSU @ Ole Miss for obvious reasons.

But for traditional SEC rivalries I'd say either Bama/Tenn or UGA/Aub

I think most Piggie and Mizzou fans would agree it’d be more of a rivalry if the league would have just let it grow organically a little bit more.
