Ehh no big guy a softball weighs more than a baseball.

That being said there is a difference in 115mph EV (baseball) and 85 (softball). Ultimately at the college and professional level the players make the decision.

Primarily because the SEC is the gold standard in athletics, despite the B1G being on a run in football right now. Then add in the regional aspect and some of the heavy hitters moving to the SEC and its only natural.

Campbell also played an era where the Big XII was on par with the SEC in football. Unfortunately Nebraska and Colorado fell off, Bill Snyder got too old and then everyone left for greener pastures so we have what we have today.

Doesn't matter how long you have the ball. Unless its on the transfer it has to be a voluntary release of the ball, which it clearly wasnt. The rule book is pretty clear on this.
