Explain yourself. I still haven't seen a good argument for your position other than "hurr durr u dum"
My man I can't even follow you. Get off reddit for a minute and use your brain.
Who said anything about more than a second??

So I think we can agree 0:00=0:00.

You seem to be arguing 0:01 means anything between 1.00 - 1.99.

It actually is anything between 0.01 - 1.00.

Its called an absolute clock if you'd like to Google that.
Yes it will. Tbh I'm questioning your education.

Do me a favor. Go put 10 seconds on your microwave and tell me if it instantly turns to 9 or it takes a second. Works exactly the same way as a game clock.
UGA-TCU was the biggest whoopin. But Bama-ND was just like a boa constrictor consistently choking the life out of another team from the starting whistle. The UF-tOSU game was just a pleasant surprise you couldnt look away from, also fun because of Ginn returning the opening kick for a TD then just getting dominated.
Looked like there was a camera man knelt down that he tripped over. Certain this meme will not be used later in the season though

Serious Q, can anyone explain how the hell its only a 5.5-6.5 point spread? Everyone show ive heard today is making fun of it saying there should be a 1 in front of the 5 or 6.

I cant believe Vegas would take that risk. Nobody in their right mind will take Michigan

Vegas is about to make a mint on this game

Think about this

Where does the first second come from?

Again, in your scenario of it going from 15:00 to 14:59 instantly, that only counts out 899 seconds. There are 900 seconds in 15:00. Youre missing a second.
You are exaclty correct. Somehow people are arguing against this.
quote:

Yes? When have you ever seen a fraction of a second displayed? Similarly, when they start the clock, you think it waits a second to turn every time?

That's the point, its not displayed but that doesn't mean it doesnt exist. And yes it does wait a second to turn. How else would it keep accurate time?

Think about this logically. A quarter is 15:00, if the clock immediately goes from 15:00 to 14:59 then in actuality the quarter is only 14:59. Where did the last second go?
quote:

The instant you start the clock it is no longer 9 seconds. It’s 8.9. Which is shown by 8.

No it isn't. If that is the case how is 0.9 displayed? 0:00? No...

Problem was though it should have been a full 9 seconds, it wasnt. It clearly went from 9 to 8 almost instantly.
quote:

0.09 seconds on a game clock can be anywhere from 9.00 to 9.99 seconds

I'll reply to you too, you real sure about that? How much time is left when the clock shows 15:00?

When there are 0:09 seconds showing on the game clock it is 8.01-9 seconds, not 9-9.99.
Oregon and Michigan were two completely different situations. Oregon didn't need a miracle clock operator and hail Mary. And on top of that Boise would be favored to beat WMU by about 14.
quote:

To be clear. 9 seconds would be displayed for anything between 9.0 and 9.9 seconds

You sure about that? How much time is left when the clock shows 15:00? By your logic it's 15:00.9 just so you are aware.
Yes? That's kinda the entire point of it. No waivers

The Sooners are so convinced Brent is the guy and dont realize he is literally Lincoln Riley in reverse. At least it is taking them years and years to figure out they wont win anything meaningful with BV either.
