You’re right, Bennet came along at the wrong time. Coach Bryant had run off 11 in a row vs UT before losing his last, then Bennett lost his first 3 but then crushed that Orange 56-28 in his swan song. That was the beginning of another 9 game streak Alabama ran off on you (1 tie included toward the end), Bama’s last win was vs Manning. Saban would run off 15 in a row for a final record of 16-1 with a win in his last game.
