Herschel Walker against Notre Dame on January 1st 1981 - and he did it with a dislocated shoulder...
Herschel was great that day, but Georgia's defense was a big reason we won that game.

Off the top of my head I’ll go with Matt Stafford or Terrell Davis.
Stafford and Dominique Wilkins.

Burt Reynolds played Nate Scarborough, Heisman winning player from Oklahoma and wore an OU hat the whole movie
Nate Scarborough was played by Michael Conrad, who went on to tell his officers "let's be careful out there" in Hill Street Blues.
Reynolds played Paul Crewe. Not sure if they say where Crewe played college ball, but it was probably FSU.
The original was a solid movie. Don't bother with the remake.

Unless you anticipate that Kirby retires after this season and is replaced by Butch Jones, or if by "next few years" you mean 30-35 years, I don't see it.
Georgia won a couple during the Spurrier years. Kirby is not unbeatable.
quote:
I doubt it.
Perhaps "reeling off a few" is unrealistic. How about: Florida will win a couple over the next few years.

How do we feel about the enemy coming over from the in state rival?
I like it. He's a solid receiver. I think he's going to crush it.
Plus, it irritates the Bumble Bees to know he's on our side now. That's a bonus.
Offense-- Isiah Canion, transfer from Georgia Tech
Defense-- Tyriq Green, freshman

The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party gave you the pageantry of college football, but that game hasn't been close in 15 years.
The last two have been uncomfortably close. I can see Georgia winning in Atlanta this year, then Florida reeling off a few wins.
The best rivalry that doesn't involve Georgia is Auburn/Alabama.

We were doomed after beating you guys in the regular season when Malzahn ran his mouth off after that game that “we beat the Dog Crap out of em’)
Kirby used that quote as tackling fuel

You mean besides the 2 national titles in Football and 3 in Basketball? Don't know if you were being sarcastic, or have a very, very, very dumb take.
What's dumb about my statement that Florida has been far more relevant than Tennessee?

I don't think UGA and Auburn met in the SECCG either.
Auburn wishes that was true

broke one off in Ohio State to win the natty.
Because of this, I am forever grateful.

Least competitive SEC team I can recall in the modern era. Every loss except Vandy was a beat down.
I think they still sold out every home game, which is quite impressive. You've got to admire the dedication of South Carolina fans. They get my respect.
I’m going with 10-2. I’m hoping we make the playoffs but skip the first round bye.

Alabama severely injured
No excuses?

1. Ohio State
2. Notre Dame
3. Miami
4. Ohio State
5. Florida State
I would add Clemson but we do play them occasionally.

Losing to us in that era should have induced any emotion but shock.
Losing to Spurrier was never a shock. Suffering our only loss to an 8-5 Ron Zook team was definitely shocking.
The 2019 loss to South Carolina or 2002 Florida.

It's still one of the better ones in the SEC but as long as football (which gets the most attention) is broken, the overall department will get looked over.
100% correct
You must have missed that I was addressing your comment about Florida football, not Athletic Directors.
