Disastrous.
I hate Kirk Herbstreit, but he was spot on when talking about Texas on Gameday 2 weeks ago "the program is like a rotten tooth and they just need to keep digging and drilling until they finally reach the root of the problem and start all over"
Sark can be the guy to do that. Will he be the guy, that remains to be seen. This year isn't entirely on him, but the majority of it is, and the countless blown halftime leads and loss to Kansas didn't turn nonbelievers into believers this fall.
Nowhere to go but up (unless Kansas beats us in regulation next season)

It is the worst OL at Alabama I've seen in quite some time. They generate absolutely no push. None.
and according to so called experts like 247 recruiting, it's probably the most elite line, per player average, than any team in the nation, so obviously the coach.

Somewhat disappointing, but we are having to start over after Sweatervest.
Good: wins over Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU
Bad: choking against Bama
Ugly: losing a 28-3 lead at home, and loss to USC on the road.
It is what it is.
Time will tell if we can rise up off the mat.
The culture will need to change.
The talent gap will need to narrow.

Disappointment but not disaster. This should’ve been an 8-4 regular season with a significantly better offense than what we saw. Play calling and QB performance were nonsensical at times. Defense was historically bad prior to November, at which point something flipped and they were actually fairly effective the last month or so. Our kicker (Harrison Mevis) continues to be arguably the best kicker in CFB. Recruiting is currently the best in program history by far.
Overall, some good and some bad. Pretty much the epitome of a 6-6 season.

First 8 games of the season our defense resembled a screen door/diarrhea scenario. The last 4 games? It appeared the someone gave Wilks some Velveeta cheese and imodium ad.

Bad but important and cathartic.

I'm happy overall and feel like we're moving in the right direction for the first time in some time. Excited to see what this offense will look like with Heupel's guys in here and a full roster again.
Offensive stat comparison between 2020 and 2021 pre bowl game are something I would have never imagined seeing:
Scoring Offense:
2020: 108th
2021: 9th
Total offense:
2020: 102nd
2021: 16th
Huepel has done a great job with one of the worst situations in the country. I'm happy for him.

We wound up about where I expected. Starting off with a new QB1, then switching to QB2 in the second game of the season hurt. OL only had one returning starter. That probably hurt more than anything. One thing we learned with Mond was that the OL can make a huge difference in how the QB performs. Beating’bama was a surprise no one expected. Calzada had a career day and ‘bama couldn’t seem to catch a break.
Next year (I know) should be an improvement with a more experienced offense and the year after should be our year to make some great things happen.
Flame away

We were what you would get if Boise State played in the SEC

It was the stereotypical Mike Leach season. Big wins, head scratching losses, lost to the in-state rival, still going to end up with 7-8 wins. He has made a career off seasons like this one.
I do think State has the potential to be really good next year, but they were too inconsistent this year to be anything more than the 7-5 team that they were.

Could have gone better. Could have gone worse. Easiest schedule we've ever had in years so maybe a missed opportunity. Then again we just lambasted our in state rival by over 30 points for the third game in a row and I haven't quite hit the resolution phase.

Great season, but shite the bed vs Tennessee.

My pea brain still doesn't understand what UGA 12-0 means
Also, I need Gold Bond.

There is a word for that type of "loyalty," stupid. Mullen's job was to find the best of the best and put the best product on the sideline and field.
I agree somewhat, but in a business that doesn't really have a lot of loyalty, it is nice to see some. I would think with the rate of turnover of assistants at Bama, it would be appreciated as well. It's kind of like the old alumni getting pushed out because of the new money coming into a program. There is a fine line to walk.
