If Kelly is able to take Bama out, will they be able to take down UGA too?

If you haven't learned by now that, regardless of who the coach is, LSU is capable of beating or losing to any team at any time.

So yes, they can take down UGA.

And yes, they can lose to UGA.

Honestly, Kelly is waaay more accomplished than Saban was before he got here. Just something to chew on ?

Is Brian Kelly more accomplished at 60 years old as Saban was at 60?

Not to take sides with the Gator but Stetson has performed better than Fromm. Now granted that 19 team had no play makers at year end due to injury but if our run game was stopped and we weren’t playing unworldly D that day we lost.

We have been the best defense in the country overall since Kirby came bc we recruit better there overall than anybody. But until this past year we really struggled if we couldn’t play action off our run game.

2017 at Auburn
2017 second half NC Alabama
2018 at LSU
2018 second half SECC Alabama
2018 Sugar Bowl Texas
2019 South Carolina
2019 SECC LSU
2020 second half at Alabama

I agree that Stetson has performed better. But Fromm was better than any QB Florida has trotted out in recent years

I agree on most but Trask in 2020 had a better individual performance than any of our guys individually in Kirby’s tenure.

I don’t agree. I wasn’t that impressed with Trask. And from some of the comments from Gator fans many of them weren’t either

Lol Fromm was such a joke. If UGA didn’t rush the ball at will the offense literally went nowhere with Fromm under center. It was a thing of beauty seeing Kirby pick him over fields.

You enjoyed Fromm destroying Florida? weird

Funny. A Gator criticizing another coach for QB selections. It’s been one QB controversy after another for years at UF. And for the record Fields could never beat out Fromm. He got plenty of chances to show his stuff and just couldn’t do it. He saw 5 star QBs being signed behind him and decided he needed to find an easier place to play. No one was especially sad to see him go

Please don’t act like those skill players that Kelly had at notre dame are anywhere close to what he will have at lsu .

He just didn’t have the horses because of the recruiting area and the admission standards.

No coach would beat bama with those kids he had and he’s won championships at other levels. I’m really optimistic. If you were really into the program you would be really impressed with what he’s done so far.

Not being a homer, he just really did rebuild our roster and got a 5 star linebacker to commit at the last minute among others

America isnt a big enough recruiting area for Notre Dame?

admission standards.

That sword cuts both ways.
Notre Dame wins a ton of kids because of that standard. Kyle Hamilton is an example.

I disagree. Notre Dame has won championships and been to playoff games. They havent had a good enough staff.

And that defeats my point how? We have hardly been world beaters for over a decade now. Fromm being 3-0 against us doesn’t negate the fact he shite the bed against every team with a pulse he played against.

Really?

#24 ND 2017
#17 MState 2017
#2 Auburn 2017
#2 Oklahoma 2017
#4 Alabama 2017
#24 SCarolina 2018
#9 Florida 2018
#9 Kentucky 2018
#24 Auburn 2018
#1 Alabama 2018 (SECCG a loss but he played well)
#15 Texas (Another loss he played decently in)
#7 ND 2019
#6 Florida 2019
#7 Baylor 20119

Did he have some hiccups along the way? Absolutely. But to state he "shite the bed against every team with a pulse he played against." is not only inaccurate but wildly inaccurate. People on this site began a narrative about Fromm and repeated it until everybody accepted it as truth.

Kind of along the line as "Georgia will never win a title with Stetson Bennett as their QB!" It's just dangerous to state things as an absolute, because typically those absolutes are nowhere close to the truth. Fromm did have some poor games at critical times, but he had some excellent games against some excellent teams, too. The same could be said about Stetson Bennett.

No offense, but Ed O isn't LSU's coach. Brian Kelly is. It would be more accurate to say "Do Brian Kelly vs. Kirby, the National Championship winning coach.

The last time Notre Dame won a championship was 32 years ago in 1988 with Lou Holtz. Lol

Why did Holtz bolt Notre Dame in 1996? It’s because the ND administration made admission requirements far too difficult for him to recruit the type of players he could when he won the title in 88. There’s no way he could ever have gotten Tony Rice or Rocket Ishmael in his later years at ND.

Those more difficult academic standards ND put in place is precisely why every single coach who followed Holtz, with the exception of one Brian Kelly) failed so bad there.

And yet again- Both of those” mongoloids” won NC. What accomplishments did your two HC before Kirby do to come even close to that on the national stage?

but I think what Saban did at Michigan St was a much bigger accomplishment.

Tf are you talking about? Saban had one 9-2 season there after hovering at or just above .500 for 3 years.

Kelly had ND either in or on the cusp of the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years.

How is that anymore accurate?

Kelly hasn't coached a single game at LSU yet.
