re: LSU 2 @ Oklahoma 0 Final

Good thing Frey and Jones hit the ball 110 MPH ..those can get out regardless of wind
The only pitching change you will see was made onvious by who started the midweek game. That told us something whether most can connect the dots or not.

Noot will be pitching sometime this weekend with long relief in mind , most likely on Sunday or Saturday if we have a nice lead.

I think noot basically changed spots with Schmitt . Basically he's where Schmitt was when they first moved him to weekends

Welcome to Anthony Davis. Scored 2 points in those last 10 minutes.

No. He actually did something he usually doesn't. He hit the game winner at the buzzer. Unless that was the last game. All I know is he hit a buzzer beater sometime in the last 2 games. Can't remember when I heard about it
Those are some household names ..true powerhouses. How will college sports survive without those bluebloods

Next year's team will hit a ton of Homer's. You got Frey arrambide Costello, beck?

Put Frey in outfield with Jake b and curiel at center . Dh arrambide and maybe even see if you can put Jones at 3rd at John Pearson at first or just move him to third and leaves jones at first. That's a power lineup
Im just being honest. If I'm a highly rated player from Louisiana who is wanting to play at LSU I'm committing somewhere else early then I'll decommit and say my recruitment is wide open. Then it will start some form of bidding war and then I'll commit to LSU
And? Pretty obvious that it was going to happen

Instead of going to ware or the other guys that walk batters what can it hurt to go to beck and dorsey instead of the other guys that walked everyone this past weekend. Primeaux has walked everything, rizy is someone i would lean on more often.

After Cowan and Evans then try rizy ,dorsey, and beck. It can't be worse

Mayers needs to get on track - he is one of the pieces they need for any long term or SEC success against better teams. Guy has electric stuff. Elite when on.

Im afraid he's pretty much unplayable in stopper situations. He's wild everytime he's out there. He has a great fastball but he's beyond effectively wild
I couldn't imagine watching him come up to bat and thinking I wish someone else was up in this spot

The only guys we have that hit Homer's that lack power to go super deep is milam and curial but they could pull one or even go oppo in most parks. I don't think they could hit one 410 to dead center though

Their park is on the bigger side - 335 to the foul poles 411 to dead center. It's nice for pitchers, not a huge park but none of these 310 or 320 foot foul poles and 390 foot dead center like some other SEC parks

I like playing in big parks. I feel like it's an advantage for us because most of the Homer's we hit aren't close to being outs. When bear or ambidde or Dickenson or Frey gets ahold of one it's going 400 usually.

Bear can easily go straight away center at 411
They're all some bitches. If youre on either team and dont have much of a role on the team you need to be crow hopping from across the court and catching someone whos not looking flush

I guess that would make that person a bitch too so I guess either way you look like a bitch lol

re: Has Noot turned the corner

I'm starting to think that our bullpen guys have zero confidence in their command. Your brain automatically makes your body try to adjust when it's not confident in what you're doing. That's why the mechanics look different every other pitch.

Jmo

I wouldn't be surprised if we were able to go watch guys like ware and rizy during their bullpen sessions and they were showing completely different results. This thing is starting to really get into guys heads and they are losing confidence. The worst part is that it's almost the whole bullpen losing confidence at the same time.

Then on top of everything we have guys actually executing and putting the ball right where they want it on the corners and then getting squeezed by the shitty umps

I think they need to adjust their pitch calling .I think they try to nibble too much when we have a big lead. I believe we're doing that because we're trying to get guys developed to try to reach what their ceiling is .
Maybe just start setting up in the middle of the plate and fire it in there when we have a big lead. Doing that will build confidence as well
