This is really stupid and unanimously hated. But if youre gonna do 24, just make it 25 with some sort of play-in game between the bottom two teams. At least then it sorta ties in with the top 25 polls which the sport has always had. But the people in charge of these decisions appear thoughtless and don’t give a shite about the tradition of the sport.

I thought 12 was too many. 8 was the sweet spot. But this is just ridiculous. Do they increase the scholarship limits to 125? Because there's going to be a lot of players getting injured over this dumb shite. By the time they make it to the NFL, their bodies will be broken and will be lucky to even play 4 years. The NFL should be hating this. They should allow guys to enter the draft after 2 years in college.
You might as well start the season in the beginning of August and have training camp in July. 2-3 bye weeks and end the season by thanksgiving in time for this dumb shite to start in december and god knows when it will finish in january.
When it comes to the schedule, we might as well play 1 B10, 1 B12, 1 ACC, 1 G6, 1-2 cupcake, and 6 conference games. This is literally telling every fan that conference games don't matter and win your non-conference to get a chance to play in this dumb shite tournament. Ratings will drop in conference games but non-conference might be interesting. Players will opt out for multiple reasons whether it's injuries, NFL draft, or non-CFP bowl games. They'll probably sit out games to get themselves healthy to play this in dumb shite.
Money has truly destroyed this sport. While everyone makes more of it such as universities, coaches, players. The fans get shafted in all this. Get ready to watch low quality arse football. Sigh.

Yep. Regular season is meaningless. Pure money grab. College football jumped the shark with NIL and the portal. This just pushes the decline further.
