Bust? Took us to back to back semi finals?

How can you call that level of production a bust. Didnt win a natty but if its natty or everyone is a bust sadly 99% of players out there are busts then
Was just talking with a buddy about his landing spot. I can not think of a more unstable QB room with the weapons the Fins have. Tua may medically retire this year for all we know and the its Zach Wilson vs Quinn. Not idea if I am a Fins fan but great for Quinn to get his shot. If I am him I would have preferred to learn under a more stable QB room but at least he didnt end up in Cleveland like Sanders.
Can’t believe only 1 Texas vote.

If we could strip away the alters, trolls, etc. I’d say ATM followed by LSU only during baseball season.

At least every other fan bases has won something, ATM should talk trash on par with Mizzo but they puff their chest like they are on par with Tenn, Auburn, etc

What stage does this take fall under? Grief, mourning, acceptance I guess…..
I think you are assuming a few fans are indicative of the entire fan base. The injuries and eventual bad luck very well might get us. You don’t lose an all American and best pitcher and not have it impact your team. We have been very lucky to date with 1 run games which easily could make us 5+ losses more.

Everyone I speak with knows we are ahead of schedule and Schloss is doing an awesome job this year. However in a best of 3 format all it takes is dropping a game and the whole season is down to win or go home
Pulling out arbitrary dates doesnt change the fact that its 7 to 6 for the programs which is as close as it gets.

Can you name one other way LSU is better than Texas historically?
Bingo, my brother and I laugh about this all the time.

It’s the vocal incredible minority getting news and media coverage. I live in Austin and have never met any liberal who actually agrees with trans athletes playing in women’s sports, not once.

Yet what’s the point of claiming Texas schedule in the sec in football was “soft” are you not implying that if they played more difficult teams they may lose? Would that not be making a prediction? Try and keep up with your own original narratives you create.

And I wouldn’t call it “blind” predictor of success when Texas would be a double digit favorite at home and would 100% have been favored against LSU in BR last year. Or take common opponents or literally any other way to compare the two teams last year. Texas was better and very likely would have beaten LSU. For crying out loud you got embarked by Aggie and their brand new qb and we didn’t allow them to score an offensive touchdown.

You might want to sit this one out if you want to compare last heard football successes.

And what would LSU have done to Texas last year lol. We played the teams in front of us/ would have loved to played LSu, one miss, Tenn, bama, etc. Last year and would have loved to lay any of those in the sec title game but the team wasn’t good enough. Only UGA can talk any trash to Texas about football last year

Because TCU played in the natty, the OP said should have invited different Texas teams. If you are using that as the main parameter then use that same timeframe that tcu, Houston, tech was in a natty

Cute personal insults on a message board, you win keyboard warrior.

Funny how you keep moving the goals posts from the OP. Do you dispute LSUs terrible stretch during that time period? Plenty on this board are still alive from that time period it wasn’t like it’s in the 20s or 30s but keep acting like college sports started when you were born

15 years is fine and agreeably sad for Texas. Took me 30 seconds to find LSUs worst period without natty appearances in any big 3 sports which is more than double than Texas. Sorry you don’t like to acknowledge facts.

Nice response, you know nothing about me but throw out something by about cowboys. Go ahead and copy / paste your overused moronic takes. Dildos, Utrans, etc lol

Great what “facts” prove tcu has a better program?

I can think of one and only one. Teams to play for a national title the past 5 years. That’s it, and if that’s your barometer then 95% of the ncaa isn’t worth a damn

It depends what you want. If you prefer a lesser challenge from a recruiting and competition standpoint on average then yes you should have invited those schools.

I’ll make a wager with you, Texas has more success the rest of this year, ext year, and the next 5 years than any of those schools. Pick any of those 3 timelines I just suggested and you pick the bet. You won’t cause we both know damn well Texas is a better athletic program than all those schools but if you don’t agree put your money where your mouth is.

You win, you quoted the worst 15 year stretch in our athletic departments history, I guarantee it wouldn’t be heard to find LSUs also, did you play for a or win any titles in the big 3 sports for 31 years from 59-90? Nope you didn’t must have been a pretty pathetic time huh
And I know BigD you dont make the rules here and are just sharing information (thank you!) just was curious why they do not do it like the Directors Cup?
So what if a team does not compete in a sport, for example Texas schools not competing in Gymnastics? Seems like a fair way would be to allow for the top 20 or 22 or whatever sports teams compete and you can drop a sport or twos score to balance out for the schools that do not have a certain sport. Should go for all shouldn't penalize a team that doesnt actually compete in the sport. just trying to be fair an objective my team looks like they will win either way.
Dude you quoted someone else's post lol I didnt even say anything about Tenn or LSU?

No arguments from me or any Texas fan there, past 35 years LSU is the #1 program,

However, lets look at the past 20 years (since you picked an arbitrary date I will too) its probably Oregon State followed by a mix of USC, LSU, Texas, Vandy and they are all debatable for the #2. But you are right if you go back 35 years LSU is the clear winner and it isnt close.

Dont have to. We are the #1 team this year and will very likely win an SEC bball title in year 1. Then we are very likely going to see 4-5 SEC teams in Omaha and we will see where the dust settles there.

Comparing Texas 20 year drought in Nattys is silly in 2025 given its a new Admin, staff, coaching players, etc for the teams of the past 20 years. If you want to hold onto some theory that the past 20 years is indicative of how every year will go for Texas from here until eternity have at it. However, things are cyclical and NIL + transfer portal has really opened an advantage for teams who are close and need a few rosters spots to get over the hump. Texas is right there in football and is way ahead of schedule in baseball but lets see there things end the next 4 years. I think in football or baseball Texas has a natty in atleast 1 if not both.
