It's funny to me you love to pick
And choose timeframes.
Before the 90s Your program was nothing.
This year you didn't even make the post season. All I know is I get to watch my team in Omaha again which we can say happens about 50% of the history of college baseball. You get to sit at home and worry about lane kiffin

What would be nice is the cfp rules his games ineligible. As long as it can’t be challenged in the time to play in the cfp im all for it.
Feel bad for the other kids on that team who want to play ball without this distraction and will be horrible if their wins are ruled ineligible due to this

The students can be trashy, the grads are good people. You nailed it though, they don’t like being seen as 3rd at best and loathe Texas and atm success and now that they can only pay whatever to get what they want they have adopted an us against the world mentality, middle finger to everyone else.

You allow the media and a few message board fanboys to cloud your judgement. One team wins the natty in the end. Texas is coming off one of its worst decades in program history. We are back to competing and in the convo but real fans didn’t have us number 1 last year with a rookie qb nor did we think he was a lock for heismann. Only people looking for clicks thought that.
We think we have a chance to win and be in the playoff and we have proven that the past 3 years. Beyond that we haven’t even been to a natty in 20 years so we know it’s difficult especially with NIL and the transfer portal

Now that’s one I agree you could add Texas to the list and likely top 5

The media pushes that agenda for clicks and ad revenue. Most Texas grads that are fans are not delusional at all, including with college football.

Would never happen as the almighty dollar talks and all you need is one school to accept it. But I wish it was possible in reality

I care about college football and this is unprecedented. It doesn't matter the institution. Sark was 100% correct except for his stupid my 2nd and 3rd string could go undefeated comment. Their schedule was a joke, they know it, and it’s ridiculous it was treated with any type of respect. They got lucky the committee lied about SoS.

Texas is significantly more concerned with the sec and big 10.
You must be a tech fan. We dont worry or think about tech, good for you for having a good recruiting year. Texas recruiting is typically not our problem and any cfb fan knows that. They funny thing is I've never spoken to a Texas alum that puts tech in their top 3 of schools they consider a rival and now most add a few new sec schools over tech. We don't think about you.

Tech did nothing wrong? Yeah except go to bat for a kid that broke integrity and rules that you clearly never cross in college athletics, period. There's numerous examples of it over the years. Tech could have cut him or they made a choice that is against the sport. Given this ruling should college athletics openly allow sports betting from its athletes for and against their own teams? Based on your response you must think so

Do better recruiting, have a better qb pipeline, do better due diligence, etc. Cry me a river for saying tech is the victim here lol.

Tell me you haven't worked or been involved with small town politics without telling me. There's so many crooked ways to get the outcome you desire in these types of situations, recusing yourself doesn't mean shite

Fair question. Honestly think it used to be Texas or maybe atm.
Now I've had tech friends tell me they Dont know.

It's 100% empty threats, just like techs bs media propaganda saying they will
Play Texas in football lol.
Those ADs know they will play tech and whine about it behind closed doors

This never gets old as a reminder of how Aggies truly think and are lied to.
Texas has its own big 3 sport natty issues no doubt but in every sport, comprehensive academics, etc. Texas and atm are not in the same ballpark.
It isn't arrogance or ego either, I readily admit we are overrated by the media and have underachieved in football

F this guy and f all the athletes taking advantage of the system like this. Same as the kid who left an sec school to go to Ohio state because he felt “mental anxiety” and was given immediate eligibility bc no one wants to touch a if someone is lying abouta mental condition. It's this generations cop out
re: Is Florida the ultimate College Football State?
Posted by TexasWranglers on 6/7/26 at 9:16 am to Gatorbait2008
I agree but there are almost twice the d1 football programs in Texas 21 as Florida 11 and that talent gets dispersed. Top end talent Texas and atm doesn’t worry about rice but depth pieces it does factor in
