I was/am rooting for DeBoer. But his teams are too undisciplined and inconsistent to win a championship.

There are entire quarters and halves that leave you scratching your head, and then they show him on the tv looking just as confused as I am.

So far he mostly wins. And we ended up winning fairly big yesterday. But dear god the first 28 minutes of that game was a shitshow.

When it’s all said and done and the documentary on Indiana’s championship season comes out in 10 years, this is going to be the main takeaway. Yeah that’s my hope as well. Build a sustainable program where players want to be here for 3-4 years and you arent entirely reliant on building a team with the transfer portal each year. It’s hard though because the transfer portal works both ways and teams will always try and pilfer our players.

Just got to hope DeBoer really is trying to bring in players with a different kinda mindset who will stick around in the future. We shall see.
