It'll become SEC news soon enough. The best swim coach in earth's history is leaving ASU two days after leading the Sun Devils to their first national title to the winningest school in the NCAA in Swimming replacing legendary coach Eddie Reese.

You could've said Phelps' coach and got some level of recognition for Bowman. Reese and his 20+ natties coached is the college swimming GOAT.

Bobby and I grew up together, he is from Columbia SC and we graduated together from Columbia High in 1983. Swam together on year round team and summer league. He is a great guy and was raised by great parents. His sister Donna still lives here I believe. Texas is getting a great coach and overall great guy.

How can he be the best ever if he just lead them to one national championship?

You can pry the Director's Cup from my cold dead hands.

Or whatever that saying is.

Actually, that is a huge pick up for Texas. Bowman has a current swimmer at France that will win multiple gold medals in the upcoming summer Olympics.

Bobby always looks so serious but I remember one summer league swim meet he brought a boom box and played Michael Jackson while singing and dancing. He is seriously a really great guy.
