re: Was A&M always this rich?

They've always had money and a lot of potential. I'm still convinced that they will eventually put it all together and go on a run and compete at the highest level.
They do seem to constantly shoot themselves in the foot, however. The poor aggies chant was a taunt more than anything. Just like the "keep RC" chants at the end of his tenure.

Sark is way too high. We were 9th in the sec in total offense last season with our talent. Sark is a fraud.

Jesus Christ. YOU brought up LSU in the thread. I didn't bring up 2019. Someone else did. Also, LSU has 2 of the last 3 (well 4 now) in baseball. Again, you asked if people could imagine how LSU fans would act. Of course they can, there are data points to show it. You're just butt hurt because your little troll got blown up.

I asked how they would act had they won the sears trophy. Not a football or baseball natty.
You really should sit this one out. You aren't very bright.

I'll try to make this as clear as I can for you. LSU fans are always the first to show up and shite on any accomplishment by another school. We all know if LSU won this same trophy that so many of you are shitting on, you'd be crowing for weeks. That was my point. You're not doing much to dispel that belief since you are here, in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with LSU, to shite on the win and remind us about all your championships. They are impressive, no doubt and LSU has been far better at the sports that matter than we have over the last 20 years.
This is not about all those years. It's about the 2025-2026 athletic season. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm not necessarily pointing the finger at you, specifically. You just happen to be here...which makes no sense.

if you want to talk about how great LSU is, start a baseball thread. You definitely have no equal when it comes to that sport. I can promise you that if I show up there, it will be to talk baseball, not brag about the sears trophy.

I'll drop it. It's a stupid arguement. I'll own my part of it.

down year

Can you imagine trying to hijack a thread about the 2019 LSU football team to brag about the Sears Trophy? That's basically what he's doing here.

Of course not. I can't imagine the level of insecurity that would require.

Texas has the best overall athletic dept in the SEC, hands down. UF is now a distant second when they used to dominate overall. Congrats to the horns for being the best in the nation this year.

I didn't realize how well rounded the Florida athletic programs have been. You actually have more top 10 finishes than we do. (31 to 26)
People like to complain about the Olympic sports, but I don't see them complaining when the summer Olympics are dominated by these schools.

quote:

Ahhhh.... so, you CAN imagine how LSU fans would respond because of how we responded in 2019. Very interesting.

you won the sears trophy in 2019? interesting.

Surely you did because only an idiot would show up to a thread about the sears trophy to talk about 2019 football :rotflmao:

Question for Bama fans. Have LSU fans always been this insecure? Did you break them or something? It's fascinating to see.

If you don't understand the conversation by now, you are just too dumb to comprehend it.

Dumb is a great description but you should probably look in the mirror and check the thread title again, moron lmao.

You showed up to a thread about the Sears Trophy to complain about the Sears Trophy.

Dumb is damn sure right :rotflmao:
quote:

That is not what I was talking about. You asked if the board could imagine how LSU fans would act if they won this. My response was "yes the they can because we win actual championships." They can imagine how we would respond because the board has been around when we win actual championships.

We're talking about the sears trophy, not individual championships here.
yes LSU has won big in the sports that matter over the last decade. No argument there...that's not what we are talking about here. We are talking about the AD trophy for the 2025-2026 academic year. Nothing else.

You must care since you are still commenting about it.

quote:

And how many championships?

and how many did LSU win this academic year, since that's what we're talking about here?

quote:

Yes, they can. We actually win real championships.

I am weary of Sark in crunch time moments.

That's an easy emotion since he almost always shits the bed in those situations.

I predicted 8-4 so that's not too far off what I think.

This is the year that the fan base finally sees Sark for what he is. A very average offensive coach with a lot of talent.
But that only gets you so far.

Can you imagine how insufferable LSU fans would be here if they won it? Since they didn't we'll get to hear how it doesn't matter

quote:

I wonder why it’s always the same 2 fanbases that hype up about the Director’s Cup.

Nevermind, I definitely know why.

“Stop guyz, we’re not just like each other!!!”

That took less than 2 minutes. You have to give them credit. They are fast :rotflmao:
quote:

Not sure why this forum is convinced that only 3 sports matter.

Because their school didn't win it. That's why and we both know it. Can you imagine how insufferable LSU fans would be here if they won it? Since they didn't we'll get to hear how it doesn't matter :rotflmao:

I'd still trade it all for a football title. Then again, the SEC isn't exactly knocking that out of the park right now.
quote:

Consolation prize. Only one SEC team won a major mens title this year.

The funniest part is pretending y’all wouldn’t be doing victory laps if your school won it.

If your athletic department finished No. 1 in the country, this board would need FEMA assistance from all the crowing. But since Texas won it, suddenly it’s a “consolation prize.”

Very convenient little standard you’ve built there.

Personally, I’d trade it for a football title, as most of us would. But no SEC team won that last year either, so maybe we can stop acting like everyone else is polishing the most recent football natty while Texas is over here bragging about a participation ribbon.

It’s still a legitimate accomplishment, and it’s absolutely something universities care about, regardless of how hard fans on a message board try to pretend otherwise.

they seem to have the Longhorns number.

That's a nice way to say they fricking own our asses. Starting to get flashbacks of Stoops tea bagging Mack every year.
Georgia has the best coach so they'd be my pick.

Seems fair. Deboer is 2-0 vs Sark and deserves to be in front of him. Lane probably belongs in the 3-5 range with sark and elko. I see no issue with this list.
Outside of Kirby, who is far and away #1, it's open for debate.
quote:

Has to be Georgia or Texas, no one else is built to win it all unless it is a down season in football.

only way we win one with Sark is if we can somehow get lucky and avoid playing OSU or Georgia along the way :rotflmao:

Tech has said he won't play for them. Just a short, blunt message.

I wonder if this prevents him from entering the NFL as a free agent?
Either way this drama is going to continue for a while. It seems his lawyers are threatening to sue.
