Texas is going to find they cannot hire anybody they like. If that was the case, they wouldn’t have ended up with Pierce last time. To pull a name they will have to redo the baseball field and promise some huge upgrades. Nobody cares about a program’s “history” anymore.
Texas' AD situation was nothing like it was now, which is why this hire will be nothing like it was when we hired Pierce (who hilariously has accomplished more than any aggie baseball coach alive yet will be fired from Texas for underperformance).
I get why aggies are super nervous, though. Our current AD just hired Sark, who by year 3 delivered Texas a better season than any aggie born in the last 84 years will ever experience in their entire lives :lol:
