Ashamedly, I didn't get to finish watching the game Saturday night as I had to be in bed early for an ultramarathon Sunday. Likewise, I was at a race all day Sunday and didn't see any highlights. I didn't even see the final score until last night.

When I checked the score just before falling asleep, UF had just scored to start the 2nd half. I think it was 34-17.

Finally to my question: was this a deal where UF stomped us and we got some points in trash time to make it close, or was it a down to the wire finish?

SEC Offensive Player of the Week

Sam Leavitt, LSU

Position: Quarterback

Class: Redshirt Junior

Hometown: West Linn, Ore.

LSU’s Sam Leavitt, a redshirt junior quarterback from West Linn, Ore., accounted for three touchdowns — two rushing, one passing — in his first start as a Tiger to lead LSU past No. 23 Clemson, 51-10, in Tiger Stadium. Leavitt rushed for a career-high 113 yards and scored on runs of 8 and 13 yards in the second quarter as LSU built a 31-3 halftime lead. He connected on 16-of-28 passes for 230 yards as the Tigers piled up a school-record 38 first downs and 644 total yards (309 rushing, 335 passing), marking just the sixth time in program history LSU has had 300-plus rushing and passing yards in the same game.


Deuce Alexander, Ole Miss

Class: Senior

Hometown: Douglasville, Ga.

Ole Miss’ Deuce Alexander, a senior wide receiver from Douglasville, Ga., totaled 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his first start as a Rebel. His 62-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter was the second-longest of his Ole Miss career, trailing only the school-record 88-yarder he had last season against Mississippi State, and he followed it with another 62-yard scoring catch late in the same quarter. Alexander’s 159 receiving yards marked the first 100-yard game of his collegiate career, topping his previous best of 94 yards, a total he reached twice in 2025.

SEC Defensive Player of the Week

Eric Winters, Auburn

Position: Safety

Class: Sophomore

Hometown: Enterprise, Ala.

Auburn’s Eric Winters, a sophomore safety from Enterprise, Ala., made a game-saving tackle on a two-point conversion attempt in the final 10 seconds, stopping Baylor tight end Matthew Klopfenstein inside the 1-yard line. Winters was also credited with a forced fumble early in the first quarter to halt a Baylor drive, the first forced fumble of his career, and he set career highs with 11 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss while making just his second career start at safety. He became the first Auburn defensive back with 11 or more tackles and 2.0 or more tackles for loss since Jeremiah Dinson in the 2019 season-opening win over Oregon.


Rasheem Biles, Texas


Position: Linebacker

Class: Senior

Hometown: Columbus, Ohio

Texas’ Rasheem Biles, a senior linebacker from Columbus, Ohio, totaled five tackles with a half tackle for loss and forced two turnovers — a forced fumble and an interception — in leading the Longhorns to a 59-7 season-opening win over Texas State. The forced fumble resulted in a 59-yard return touchdown by teammate Graceson Littleton for a 28-0 lead, while the interception set up the Texas offense at the Bobcats’ 45-yard line and led to a touchdown three plays later for a 49-7 advantage. His tackle for loss came on the second possession of the game on a third-and-2, forcing a fourth down that the Bobcats went for and failed to get. It was Biles’ first career game with both a forced fumble and an interception, while the turnovers marked the fourth forced fumble and fourth interception of his career. Biles led a Texas defense that limited a high-powered Bobcats’ offense to just seven points and 349 total yards, with only 188 in the air.

Isaiah Sategna III, Oklahoma

Position: Wide Receiver/Punt Returner

Class: Fifth Year

Hometown: Austin, Texas

Oklahoma’s Isaiah Sategna III, a fifth-year wide receiver and returner from Austin, Texas, totaled a career-high 215 all-purpose yards — 115 on two punt returns, 24 on one kickoff return and 76 on four receptions — and scored two touchdowns in the Sooners’ 51-0 season-opening win over UTEP on Friday night. His first punt return went 88 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, the seventh-longest punt return in OU history and the first returned for a touchdown in three years. It was also OU’s longest punt return since 2013 and its second-longest ever in a season opener. Sategna’s 115 punt return yards came on just two returns — he also had a 27-yarder in the third quarter — and were OU’s most in 15 years. He returned the game’s opening kickoff 24 yards, setting up a 76-yard touchdown drive. On offense, Sategna scored on a 34-yard reception on OU’s first possession of the second half to give the Sooners a 34-0 lead, and his four pass receptions and 76 receiving yards were game highs, with his other catches going for 6, 25 and 11 yards.


Lucas Carneiro, Ole Miss


Position: Place Kicker

Class: Fifth Year

Hometown: Cornelius, N.C.

Ole Miss’ Lucas Carneiro, a fifth-year place kicker from Cornelius, N.C., drilled the go-ahead 48-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Rebels to a thrilling win over No. 24 Louisville in the Music City Kickoff. Carneiro accounted for 11 points, making 2-of-3 field goals from 40 yards or longer and all five of his PATs. The game-winner gave him three career game-winning field goals of 45 yards or longer in the final 15 seconds of regulation, the most by any FBS kicker in the last 30 years. He now boasts 160 career points at Ole Miss, moving up to 14th in school history.

I would throw Nick Marshall in the mix. That 2013 and14 offense was fun to watch. (it was unfortunately paired with our 2013 and 14 defense)

They no longer allow crew/pacers across the river (drop bags only), so I had to wait at green gate and go from there. It worked out though... we got him a change of clothes and then moved on. I felt bad for the other pacer though. After 17 miles, his reward was getting to carry all the gear back up the long climb to the parking lot from green gate :lol:

It was incredible! Third coolest temps in race history. Watched the leaders come through Foresthill. They were amazing. My friend blew out his quads and limped to the finish in the golden hour (29:04). I got to run the last 21 miles with him. Met and talked to Scott Jurek when he was working as an AS volunteer. The views were awesome and the crowds and volunteers were great. I also got to do the group run up to Emigrant Pass (first 4 miles of the race) on Thursday. 2300 ft gain in 4 miles.

Bonus: on the flight home, I sat next to Rick Neuheisel and got to talk football.

I'm sure it's already been posted, but Auburn's Jackson Koivun has officially opted out of his senior year in favor of going on the Tour full time.
