That was absolutely the decision that was made. And then the reliever they threw today goes Thursday. This of course all predicated that we beat UCLA and they beat Murrary State.

Could you provide a full quote. I would feel like, if I was a player, defeated if my coach said to national media, in the second inning the game was over because we weren't going to score.

UCLA is the 15th ranked team in the nation. We could very well lose to them straight up. It's baseball. You throw your next best SP available. This is an absurd take.

It actually turned out to be the right decision. They only scored one run so it would not have mattered if they kept him in. He will now be ready for our next game vs. Arkansas.

I was there. Opening game, lost 2-1. Bregman booted a routine ball in the 9th to score the go-ahead. Katz homered early and they scored - I believe - two unearned runs. Painful game. Nola (** edited) was on it.

Honestly, LSU has lost so many consecutive season openers that we will be mentally challenged and tight playing the game. If we actually get off to a good start, I could see that jump starting into a big game.

Kade Anderson elevates to first overall draft pick if he shuts down Arkansas Saturday. Winner of that game wins this side of bracket. No team has the pitching to win out of the loser's bracket IMO. Honestly, LSU has the best 2-3-4 pitching combo out there.
