Wouldn't that be based more on what college you're in, than the overall ranking of the school?

No other schools fall into this weird, cultish class separation, so go sit with your hitler youth and sing campfire war songs!

The big tenners always want to throw out academic rankings after they get their arse beat by an SEC team.
I guess that is salve to their wounded butt.

Southern schools will always be ranked lower than their non-Southern brethren. That is just the way it is.

For the past 5 to 10 years Arkansas has allowed Texas students to attend and not pay out of state tuition, the influx of Texas at our great university has driven the ratings down for us.

Im going through the college process with my daughter right now. She is a junior and is pretty much set on going to an SEC School. Visiting Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Florida. I told her I dont care where she goes since its her decision but man I hope she stays in state.

What field does she want to pursue?
I found that to be the most important match when deciding on schools.

We still have at least 4 football games left. We don't care.

Since their sports sucks completely let’s move to academics on a sports message board. Aggies try to take anything they can get.

If the metric doesn't take into cost of living, it's pretty useless.

My job would easily pay 2-3 times more in NYC but I have zero desire to move there, and at the end of the day I'm not going to really have all that much more money in my pocket because of how expensive it is. Same for moving to DC. I'd rather be set on fire and put out with a sledgehammer.

I guess the entire state of Mississippi will just have to take solace in whipping 4&8’s arse in football.

. Do Prestigious Colleges Pay Off - WSJUS News rankings are total bullshite. With the exception of Vandy, anyone outside of the the south views all the SEC schools as Mississippi.

This.

I took a 20% "pay cut" to move back to Georgia from NOVA. The reduced price of housing alone more than made up for that. Even in shitty Atlanta traffic, I was spending less time away from my home each day compared to the time spent wanting to suck start a Glock 19 on I-95/395.
