re: So we know for a fact that Justin Fields was lying? - bunkerhill on 2/15/19 at 3:42 pm
The baseball player was reported by people sitting around him, per what I read about it. Fields never heard it. For sure that did not have squat to do with Fields transferring but Fields was able to get immediate eligibility out of it....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: I think the AAF will be huge in 3-5 years. - bunkerhill on 2/11/19 at 9:17 am
Are any of you old enough to remember the United States Football League? It was a spring league started in early '80s. do any of you remember the World Football League, I think that was the name of it? It played out before the USFL, I believe. They both are now answers to trivia questions....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (7)
re: UF will beat UGA 7 times out of the next 10 years - bunkerhill on 2/8/19 at 12:56 pm
GatorsGators I love your attempt at humor. I don't know if you intended it be humor or not. Spurrier is not coaching there anymore and Goff, Donnen and Richt are no longer coaching at UGA....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Better game? National Title or Super Bowl? - bunkerhill on 2/5/19 at 8:43 am
I have a bad case of being tired of seeing NE in the Super bowl. The college football championship is fast getting that way. I am tired of seeing Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma every year in the playoff. I don't care who is in it, just someone different....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Plumlee flips to Ole Miss, says Ole Miss baseball is legit - bunkerhill on 2/5/19 at 8:38 am

re: Pick one school from each division - bunkerhill on 1/29/19 at 1:25 pm
One from each division - well, it has to be Fla and Aub. My favorite team, other than Georgia, is whoever is playing Fla, but that is just in the conference. When teams play out of conference I generally pull for the conference teams to win, but if you lose I don't lose any sleep over it....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Was talking with someone in the Midwest about the south - bunkerhill on 1/21/19 at 3:00 pm
Not terribly surprised at lack of people's knowledge concerning the South. Some years ago a young woman, I had briefly met, who was from outside the region asked if the Atlanta area had shopping centers? She was a college graduate also, fwiw. A lot of bias and bigotry out there where it concerns our...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Deangelo Gibbs transfers to Tennessee - bunkerhill on 1/18/19 at 10:25 am
From what I have read of him, he appears to be a head case. I will be surprised if he plays much ball anywhere. His next stop, after Tn, is probably a DII program like Albany St, Fort Valley St....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Slive did an amazing job, but why again did we rush into adding Mizzou? - bunkerhill on 1/18/19 at 10:19 am
The greatest geographical mismatch out there is Syracuse and Boston college in the ACC, Colorado and Utah in the Pac is pretty high up there. With expansion, and it absolutely had to happen, A&M and Missouri are great additions, imo. Who would have been better? I think most of the teams in the bi...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: UGA fans - bunkerhill on 1/15/19 at 3:19 pm
With a mediocre basketball and baseball program, what is your favorite activity during the off-season? Or do you just think about the "can't get over the hump" football program all year long?
I usually watch re-runs of Georgia kicking Aubie's arse up and down the field. the last s...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Georgia's recruitment of Fields was strange. He or Fromm had to go as I called it in Sept. - bunkerhill on 1/4/19 at 4:17 pm
Honestly was there not a stretch this year when Kirby could have pulled the plug on Fromm and no one would have complained. I think Kirbs was fortunate that in the soft SEC East he had time to let Fromm completely refocus down the stretch. In the long run, it's clear he did not make the best ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
Welcome to Alabama's world. Been this way for 10 years.
That is something I have been most impressed with about Saban. Losing players early and losing coaches every year. yet they keep on keeping on. The way Kirby has been recruiting he likely is going to replace a lot of guys ea...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Justin Fields to Ohio State - bunkerhill on 1/4/19 at 3:49 pm
Which was dumber - Kirby's ridiculous fake punt call or the way that he squandered Fields? I used to think that no coach was as dumb as Mark Richt. I was wrong.
The 4th and 11 was rather dumb but I don't see how he squandered Fields. Smart and Chaney all said the right things dur...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Justin Fields to Ohio State - bunkerhill on 1/4/19 at 10:21 am
I concur. There is absolutely the possibility that Fields is not as good as everyone thinks, and he thinks, that he is. He never seriously challenged Fromm for the starting job. The guy at Ohio has been in the program and ought to know the playbook....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Big 12 better than the SEC, at least at the top - bunkerhill on 1/4/19 at 10:12 am
Don't put a lot of stock in that Texas win over Georgia. The Sugar Bowl should withhold Georgia's cut of the payoff for being a no-show. Something that is happening in post-season play now is how irrelevant the bowl games are becoming. If they go to an 8 team playoff the large bowls are history, ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

You can't talk about ugly states and leave New Mexico out of the conversation. I am sure there must be pretty parts of the state but the parts I have traveled through have just been butt-ugly. Sand and rocks holding the earth together....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Big 10 leadership are idiots - bunkerhill on 12/26/18 at 11:11 am
The fans of some of the big ten schools just chap my butt with their arrogance and condescension. I would not pull for their teams if they were playing red China. The worst are Ohio State fans followed by Michigan people. When ND was really good their fans were difficult to say the least. I am n...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
