Arkansas wide receiver Jelani Watkins is no longer with the football program, head coach Ryan Silverfield announced Monday.
“He made a decision to focus on other things,” Silverfield said.
Watkins will instead focus on track, where he is also a standout for the Razorbacks. He owns Arkansas school records in the outdoor 100-meter and 200-meter, along with the indoor 60-meter.
Watkins is the second Arkansas player to leave the football team to focus on track this year, joining Maurice Gleaton, who made the same decision before the season.
