Zero interest, would probably stop watching or caring. I loved the old days of the SEC, even today the league is watered down with the trash that Shankey let in without consulting its members. Would like to see him fired and bring somebody in that puts SEC first.
Let me help you with this logic. You are now in the SEC which pound for pound has the toughest teams in the nation. Whenever it is announced that you have the toughest schedule in the nation that just means that they are ranking you last in the SEC behind all those teams.

Net net, you team sucks shite.

Neither are nothing like Saban. Saban won with his team significantly changing every year. Reid has an elite QB in a league that is setup for the QB to singly handedly when the game: ( can’t touch the QB, can’t hit recivers, defense taken out if the game). It’s partly why Brady was so successful.

Note I’m not saying that those aren’t elite QBs, but to pretend both of those would have gotten through a season back in the 1980s without a bruise would be foolish.

Remember, we are in the age of free agency, it doesn’t make sense for a NFL team to win back to back to back super bowls.. but over the past decade or 2 we have seen it over and over.
Didn’t read it, don’t care… just like all other topics about Missouri.
I would like to see Shankey fired and find somebody who is focused on SEC first. We would have been perfectly fine not letting Texas and Oklahoma in and declaring the SEC championship game as the national champions, frick everybody else.
Sankey is an idiot and needs to be fired. He has weekend the SEC and done nothing for our conference. Instead of bending over and taking it in the arse he should be acting like a leader and setting rules that protect the integrity of the league. Is it so fricking hard to pass a rule not allowing players to transfer to another SEC school?
It kind of feels like the NCAA is telling just about everybody to go frick themselves. If you see going to pay players, they don’t really give a shite anymore.
I think in general people are going to start to question spending so much to watch a game where realistically, the players no longer care about the schools thanks to NIL. I’ve been saying this for a while now, when you start paying the players it is no longer amateur, it’s no longer a commitment to an institution which is what made college sports so special.

Why would you pay so much money watching a product that plays like amateur although they get paid like professionals? It doesn’t make any sense. I could go on and on but college football had a very serious problem right now and it’s not the transfer portal. After people spend a few years throwing money at a product that has no commitment, no heart, for players that don’t really care anymore… at some point they are going to stop throwing that money.

I expect the crowds to get smaller and the game decline significantly over time.
The problem is you didn’t even play a true SEC schedule.
Agreed, he needs to be removed. No leadership qualities and he tends to hide shite which from the league which is Bs.

I don’t recall them winning the SEC championship?
For the past 25 years this exact post comes up…

re: Why not pull for all SEC CFPCG?

Because Texas should have never been let in, Sankey fricked us all by not telling teams about his plan and basically back stabbed the entire league getting Texas in. There are at least 3 teams that would have out right vetoed it. That’s about as anti SEC move as you could possibly pull and somehow that a-hole still has a job.

It would have been much more entertaining letting Okie and Okie St in.
Taken their spot? They have always gotten called like this since 1902.. why do you think so many old SWC teams have terrible records against them? Why do you think so many teams ran from them when they got the chance?

The Tom foolery that we see from Bama at times is nothing compared to what you are going to see with Texas. We warned you, get ready to get bent year in and year out.

They should have pulled a Texas and start throwing things on the field until the play got overturned.. oh wait, that had only happened when Texas did it.

Sankey needs to be removed.

For letting a team into the SEC that’s going to get calls like that, I don’t even think Bama wound have gotten that call.

This is why Arkansas left the SWC, why T a&m ran for the hills, bullshite like this is going to hit all of us. Sankey is not SEC and has done very little to help the league.

Only Texas would get that call.

They are terrible, and it feels like every damn game has one now. The NBA seems to be the worst but in general, they all suck pretty bad.

Sports used to be an escape, a place for men to act like men, now we don’t even have that.
The first Arkansas game vs USC with Gus Bus as offensive coordinator and Nutt as the head coach. This was back before teams were the HUNH fast game that GUS was running in highschool. Nobody knew if it would work or not and the team was kind of shaky on it.. meaning nobody thought you could run a high school offense in college.

We came out running it and the stadium was on fire for the first 3 or 4 plays… had USC pretty confused. Then there was a running play with Felix Jones around the end where he ran something like 30 yards but then fumbled and turned it over. Nutt got scared and shut it down.

We ended up getting destroyed by 50 or something crazy and didn’t try the scheme into late in the game… when we ran it then we scored a TD in something like 45 seconds going all the way down the field.

That fumble destroyed whatever little confidence Nutt had with the system… if he would have just stayed with it we probably would have beat USC and who knows what would have happened for years to come as teams slowly tried to figure out what GUS was doing.
Come on now, their worst loss of the year was to Arkansas.
