re: Thoughts on how to handle blowouts vs conference teams this season? - coachcrisp
Personally I don't think the "lack of killer instinct" thing comes from pulling starters by halftime at all. If anything I'd think conditioning would be more directly affected by that. If it's game 3 or 4 or whatever and your starters have all sat the 2nd half the game, I don't think t...

re: Saban's response to coaches comments about him being difficult to work for. - coachcrisp
There's been innuendo on the subject in the media for years. I remember several occasions where it was reported that "an unnamed coach" had made such comments...it's common knowledge within the coaching community that if/when you come to work for him, you'd better put your "big boy pants" on....

re: Why does Saban always blame the losses on Distractions? - coachcrisp
He and Coach Bryant are very similar in their approach to coaching, but but this is one of the few areas where they differ...at least pubicly. Coach Bryant's philosophy toward these situations: “If anything goes bad, I did it. If anything goes semi-good, then we did it. If anything goes rea...
Saban is hard to work for. Very hard. But he's never shied away from that nor has he not ever explained that to potential assistants. Most of the best CEOs at Fortune 500 companies are hard to work for. But they get results. Saban gets results. It is a balance, especially for a ...

re: Do you feel like we are at the beginning stages of another American Revolution? - coachcrisp
Unless the academics are successful in nearly full indoctrination of the young, and they carry that mindset through adulthood, and the old who value freedom and American values die off, I do feel the seeds for Revolution are being sewn today. There is a general feeling that we can't trust...

Saban's response to coaches comments about him being difficult to work for. - coachcrisp
"Always interesting that, you know, they may say that, but then when they get a job and they go do it, they do it exactly like we did it. So, I don’t know.” “So you have to make a choice and decision: You want to do it right, or you want to make everybody happy? No different than raising your ch...
