Wont give specific specific Dept location in Louisiana but spent many days hanging out with him working at the fire hall , fixing other people car's etc... He told me a few pretty horrific stories while on duty in his 20 plus years but for the most part most of what i said earlier is true. He is close to retirement and is set for life pretty much mid 50's. so happy for him / other firefighters that can do this but to say its a daily grid compared to other jobs is a bit much..

I dont believe you are wrong on either the teachers or the firemen. Teacher is a little tricky though depending on where they teach. Firefighters i kinda of agree they get paid way to much in many cases for basically working 2days(48 hours). Wink.Wink. Great benefits for mostly sitting on your arse most of the time. To be fair though the do pull up on some pretty horrible accidents etc...So i give them credit for that.

Always been the running joke, the only time any thing gets done in Louisiana is in an election year. It hasn't changed since many of us left the state many years ago.

Hiring a bunch of transfers should only be for filling holes in a roster not the end all. Going forward LSU needs to start building from the High school ranks that's how all the Top schools maintain being top schools in college football. I believe Lane knows this and one of the reasons he left for the LSU job.
