Time to start winning some big games

Seems we have not beat many top ranked teams in quite a while. I believe LSU is now 2-8 against top 10 matchups in the last 5 years. Last big one was probably Bama and that was a long time ago.

Big 10 the usual two games worth watching , Notre Lame playing the usual cupcakes and the ACC schedule comical .The SEC keeping fans entertained with at least 6 or 7 top games. When the playoffs expands to 16 or 24 the Sec should be guaranteed at least half the conference makes the playoff.

Baker is top two paid Dc in the nation. He needs to start acting like it against good teams no below and avg teams. In the big games he seems to be underwhelming. This is why he is supposed to be paid top money to shut down good teams. Start earning in Blake.

The Melt will really begin if we lose to A&M and that could happen in less than a week. :banghead: My true expectations for LSU was 9-3 but a loss to A&M and we are looking at a possible 7-5 type season.
The TE position is looking look a huge concern now

Kiffin even said there was a reason he wanted the Ole miss TE. Not encouraging news to say the least. Already a few season ending injuries and Green out for multiple weeks with many top 20 match ups to come.

Sadly 2019 was the last time we had a really good Oline. Has been a shite show with guys that looked like studs but played like dudes ever since for the most part on our Oline.

No worries there. Ole miss had a horrible secondary and LSU never really tested because our Qb would rather run around and if even if were open its 50/50 if its knocked down or just flat out missed. Spent a lot of money on this QB to be a RB.

Baker's soft coverage on the 3rd downs in first half basically gave them free points and got our defense really tired in the 4th.

OLine will cost us more games this year is it doesnt improve. We Still have many more big games. Under BK it never got better as season went on. Hoping LK has some type of solution.

The reason we couldnt take advantage of Ole miss weakness at DB because we cant get guys open down field because Sam can hit them, he is not looking and OL is bad. Take your pick.Louisville torched them because a new QB could hit Wr's. This needs to get fixed but just lost our best deep threat. :banghead:

Why would it be ? 40 new players , new Qb and many new starters . LSU could have folded after being down by many points in a hostile stadium but they turned it around and made a game against a team with top guys that have been at Ole for many years. Losing Green hurts the most but LK will get it turned around.

Agree. He is a run first and doesnt look down field for Wr's open just like JD was his first year and a half at LSU. Hoping LK can get him right because teams are just going to load the box and make Sam pass to beat them.
