Top strength for the Cardinals in 2026 will be the defensive front and linebacker core. The weakness will be a whole new revamped offense with a new transfer quarterback who has just 139 career passing yards.
What the Rebels need to watch out for and not be surprised by is how much the Cardinals blitz. Lots of six-man pressure packages out of the Cardinals' front make for lots of third-down blitzes. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and the Rebel offense will have to adjust and adapt play action in order to counter the Louisville blitz.

We absolutely cannot overlook them. We could easily lose that game by 2 TDs if we aren’t focussed. They beat Miami in Miami last year and Brohm has a history of upsets.
Unrelated I was playing CFB 27 last night and played a game at Memphis. Never thought I would say this but the Liberty Bowl doesn’t look like a total shite hole anymore. The renovation they did on the home side looks really good

Louisville scares the shite out of me. Really good defense (led by the defensive line) and one of the top 5 RBs in college football.
Though one big thing in our favor is the Louisville QB just transfered in and will be making his first career start. As long as we make him feel uncomfortable we should be fine.

Was just about to type this out word for word. We will find out quickly if our linebackers are better than last year. Can’t let the QB get comfortable. If louisvillle scores 21 or less, I feel good.

There's a reason why the spread for this game is so low. -6.5 for a top 10 team with playoff expectations against an unranked team at a neutral site that favors us. I have no idea what to expect.
Actually I see two outcomes: we either win a close game by less than 6 points or we blow them out by 3+ touchdowns.

Louisville had Miller Moss last year who was pretty solid at USC before transferring. Their new QB is from Ohio State. He’s inexperienced and didn’t really have many impressive offers outside of Ohio State.
Louisville’s run game is pretty impressive. Issac Brown averaged 8.8 yards per carry. Keyjuan (lol) Brown averaged 7.7 yards per carry.
Louisville’s top 2 receivers from last year are in the NFL.
OLine lacks talent and they are starting 4 portal transfers. Their starting left tackle played for Delaware last year.
They’ve pretty mid on D.
They lost their top three tacklers.
Maybe one NFL quality player at rush end Clev Lubin.
If we can shut down the run game we should win easily. We have no business losing to a team like this.

If Lane and Co were still here we would be favored by 10.5. We had a good playoff run but now it’s time to see if Pete can actually be a HC full time

I was actually at that game and one of the Louisville players parents (it was the kid who got ejected for targeting) was complaining about satt’s playcalling the entire game and saying how it was clear that he never actually played football before
