This free kick is from the line of scrimmage, not 7 yds back like a usual field goal. Also, no snap needed and the defense can’t really rush
So basically, if a team punts from their end zone up 2, the returner can fair catch at the 35 and it is a 45 yd free kick instead of a 52 yd FG try

Pitching will give us a chance today, but I think we get run ruled tomorrow. Regardless, the key is don’t get swept on the road and win all home series. A road series win is just icing on the cake against a top 5 team.

Eh, I’m not super down. Elliot shoved for the first time in 3 years. Calhoun was great until bianco left him in too long, Bissetta showed power that is going to help protect Judd, and the ghost runner in extra innings means this loss doesn’t really count :lol:

Here’s the thing that LSU fans swore wasn’t true but clearly is true: Lane is all in on next year. LSU fans know Baker is probably gone after next year and after our playoff run Weiss probably is too. That means next year is his best chance to win a natty by year 3, and LSU just fired a coach who couldn’t win a natty by year 3.
So from that perspective he will pay any amount to get a player who even marginally improves the shot at a natty next year. If it works, he buys 5-6 years.

A&M game had 30 mph winds meaning the deep passing game was neutralized before Miami’s defense did anything.
Then OSU with a Freshman QB they clearly never trusted all year threw a telegraphed pick 6 that flipped the game.
Has Miami actually played a decent experienced QB all year? DJ Lagway might be the closest. I’m not saying their D isn’t good at all, but I don’t think our offense will be intimidated.

It’s funny, but I think the winner take all game against Arkansas in the CWS semis felt bigger than the final. Because it was our only elimination game all tournament. Every other game we knew we would get another shot if we lost even the final. Obviously winning it all meant the most, but that was the most electric atmosphere I have ever felt.
Also, we need our next hype video to either be Tim Elko or DeLucia
