Yeah, oline depth hurts the most but I don’t think any of them have seen meaningful snaps

Looks like everyone except Lacy who was questionable is now out.
I’m also curious how much Pete and Sumrall being first year coaches plays into it. Obviously Sumrall has some history, but it feels like first year coaches are more like to significantly over/under perform expectations because you don’t have a track record at that level.

I think Philo is better than Leavitt but not as good as Louisville QB. and Baugh is the best back we have faced. Give me 35-31 good guys

I was at the 2024 game in Tiger stadium. Not only did they play loud music through the snap, but they had these strobe light wristbands that would flash while the offense was in formation.
So I have 0 sympathy.

The good/bad news is most of the missed tackles are in the secondary :lol: front 7 has been better at wrapping up, but if you get past them it is smooth sailing
How many of those players have been contributing besides Lacy?
Faulkner was out last week. I think Chapman is new which hurts OL depth. My biggest takeaway is that Kite and Denison are good to go.

I think watching GT is more relevant than watching UF based on opponents so far. Philo at GT wasn’t a statue but also not a battering ram.
We will need good edge rushes but probably not a QB spy.
Faulkner will absolutely have a game plan cooked up though. And you can see how much Tech misses him already. Only 14 points on Colorado.

I think we are better than Auburn but not miles better. Their problem has been offense the last few years. Really comes down to interior DLine getting push and LBs wrapping up.

Excluding his 53 yard run
25 carries - 108 yds - 4.3 ypc
With a back like that, Florida can try to limit ole miss to 6-7 possessions (we had 9 against LSU). That translates to < 30 points which gives UF a good chance if they don’t turn it over themselves.
Why Ole Miss has a chance:
Excluding his 2 explosive runs against Auburn:
24 carries - 75 yds - 3.1 ypc
If our linebackers can wrap up, he isn’t consistently getting 5+ yards against an SEC defense. And Philo isn’t a scrambling threat like Leavitt or Kienholz so we can commit more to the run game.

Just rewatched the highlights. Blatant false start on LSU LT on their first TD run. Ended up saving more time for us so alls well that ends well.

Wade doesn’t even have a full roster and games start in less than 2 months. But that’s a different story :lol:
Problem is the rest of our schedule is also Top 5 difficulty. That’s why our playoff odds aren’t higher despite 2 good wins.
Any update on Hardy coming back this year?
