Most of whom probably won't really want to be trained or have to carry a gun? And it's one thing to train a bunch of people how to hit a paper target. But to have 100+ teachers trained to handle a chaotic situation like an active shooter with thousands of students running around is unrealistic. Especially adding in the fact that teachers would likely view each other as the potential threat since they would have no idea what the shooter looked like or where they were. Additionally, it would make it a mess for the responses cops to assess where the real shooter was and would make identification of the actual threat a lot harder in the chaos of the moment. Arming all teachers is an absolutely terrible idea which would just add to the chaos of an active shooter situation.

And that's before you start getting into issues of expecting teachers, who once again all won't want to carry, to safely store their gun and maintain them at all times.

There absolutely should be more armed guards in schools / on campus. But arming all teachers is a terrible idea.
