Missouri has averaged over 275 rushing yards so far in SEC play and we have a horrific run defense. If we don't show up it'll look a lot like Florida

Of course not. I had LSU pegged as 8-4 this year because I'm not a believer in Leavitt and Lane has historically struggled with new QBs starting in his system.
But Lane is going to live and die by what players he can get in the portal any given off-season. LSU fans expecting some magical program builder with depth and development are only kidding themselves.

Ole Miss played 5 games last year where we had the ball with a one score lead and under 4 minutes left. We punted 4 times in that situation with only going for it once (LSU game).
We won all 5 of those games, but Lane liked relying on his defense last year and seems to be doing the same this year - to less success.

The problem is Kiffin holds back his DCs. Kiffin wants all his DCs to be super conservative and essentially play defense to not lose because he thinks his offense can just outscore everyone as long as the defense gets one or two stops.

I'm fine with how we looked on that drive. Obviously not ideal, but we're up big and made Vandy take up 25% of the remaining game to score. Only way this even becomes a semblance of a game is if we had given up a quick score
