Ole Miss QB AJ Maddox Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge

Ole Miss backup quarterback AJ Maddox was arrested Tuesday morning on a charge of simple domestic violence, according to the Mississippi Clarion Ledger.

Maddox, 21, was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center at 6:41 a.m. on October 20, according to sheriff's office records.

The booking information alleges that Maddox attempted "by physical menace to put a domestic victim in fear of imminent serious bodily harm."

Additional details surrounding the incident have not been released, and Ole Miss has not publicly commented on the arrest.

A former four-star recruit from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Maddox joined the Rebels in 2024 and is currently in his third season with the program.

Maddox appeared in two games last season but has not played in 2026. He is currently fourth on the Ole Miss quarterback depth chart behind Trinidad Chambliss, Deuce Knight, and Walker Howard.
