It’s more likely Florida boosters have something to do with it as a get out of paying a buyout to Billy.

since you're an LSU fan, i assume you're not plugged into Gator athletics much.

admin, boosters, and players adore Napier for some reason we can't see as fans.

the guy just closed on a top 7 overall recruiting class (HS recruits and transfers) going into next season.

my money is on UGA/Kirby trying to bury Florida much deeper than they already are.

Rashada just seems like a greedy POS.

Rashada not suing the actual members of the collective that made and were party to the contract is telling. Why go after 3rd parties and not the actual people contracting you.

I doubt UGA wants to be involved even to the point of giving advice one way or the other.

I agree.

I am sure the Georgia fans like it, but Kirby probably looks at it like the distraction it is from him becoming a better player. It's not like Florida needs any help from Georgia at being bad at football. We are doing a great job of that all on our own.

NCAA sanctions are toothless plus UF would save money on his buyout if he is fired for cause

Naked pay-for-play captured live in 4K is still well within the NCAA's rights to punish. This is different than the Nico case in some important ways. Additionally, the athlete in question is cooperating with the school and not the NCAA. Seems like Rashada would/has snitched on Florida.

You would think Jaden Rashada would be a household name these days but he's gonna hold a clipboard at UGA and is probably realizing his best chance to get any significant money has evaporated.
You better choose wisely or make them earn it from a NIL standpoint when promising whatever kind of money he was offered.

I mean...not when he wins this lawsuit. When he wins this lawsuit he is going to be able to live comfortably off it for the rest of his life if he isnt an idiot with his money

Maybe if boosters start getting sued some of this ridiculous BS will taper off. $14 million to a high school kid is just total insanity. It can't be sustained. Even rich boosters have limits.

He's suing Hugh Hathcock (as well as others). I believe he founded "Gator Guard", one of UF's collectives.

billy napier being fired would definitely be bad for UGA. Then they might upgrade to someone competitive.

A "verbal promise" without any evidence isn't going to hold up. Now if Rashada has a recording of this, of course Napier will be fired. But he doesn't. He's still just chasing $.

This right here.

Florida may escape financial and legal punishment, but will lose the PR battle. This just looks bad.

Why in the world, with this much money at stake, would the kid not have a financial advisor or legal representation?

NCAA has themselves to blame for letting this get out of control.

Ultimately, he has Napier and this booster dead to rights on breach of contract.

Unless he has actual evidence, no he doesn't.

This is why we have contracts. "Billy told me we'd get a million dollars later that day!" isn't going to hold up to any legal scrutiny.

Napier has been good to Georgia. More likely a Florida fan on the TRant convinced him to sue and hasten Billy's demise.

Rashada was involved with "Gator Collective" which was founded and ran by Eddie Rojas and Rojas was the signatory
