I've never accepted the talent excuse. You can consistently make the tournament without super-elite talent. It's just that we haven't had a high-end coach since Tubby, who (in hindsight) [i]never [/i] should have left. ...

It's not that simple. The depth and the culture of competition go hand in hand. Bama lost Saban and the inbuilt Bama advantage with these players.
He hasn't shown to be a recruiter. This is not going to be easy to rebuild. ...
