Here’s some math
Trump did over $250BB worth of damage to Iran.
Iran is still $230BB in the hole.
Cmon man this isn’t that hard.
How far in the hole will they be after Rubio's travel through the Gulf States lobbying for $300B in reconstruction funding?

It's sad that we can't have an honest discussion on this board about this topic because it is one of the more interesting Flash Points.
Instead we get these ridiculous attempts to posture towards goal posts that are moving so fast you can't even see them.

If they said the deal was off then there is no deal
They said the strait was closed
Is this true or did they lie?
I believe the Iranians said the US was not complying with the deal and that they were shutting down the Straight because of that. Maybe that's not verbatim, but my understanding.
All of that still presupposes the existence of a deal.

So they were telling the truth or lying?
It's way too early for these mental backflips.
Does the US and Iran saying they'll end the deal not presuppose the deal exists?

I remember when everyone was saying this after Iran's State Media released the MOU which turned out to be 98% accurate based on the final version released to the public.

It's too bad you lack the IQ to see that or the emotional maturity to accept the words of a Lebanese citizen.
Some humility may be in order. You think the guy is going to be killed because Hezbollah is in power in Lebanon. You are incorrect on both accounts.

I'm not surprised that leftist scum would opposed Lebanon's liberation.
You have no understanding of Lebanon's internal politics, so you would also not understand that Lebanon is not occupied by Hezbollah.
Lebanon is constitutionally set up so that the President is a Marionite Christian, the Prime Minister is a Sunni Muslim, and the Speaker is a Shia Muslim.
The Prime Minister of Lebanon (Sunni) is the most likely to support a cleansing of Hezbollah by Israel. The primary complaint by the Christian President is that Hezbollah has maintained a military separation from the Lebanese government.
The biggest thing to correct in your post is that Lebanon is subjugated by Hezbollah. This is only remotely true in Southern Lebanon, which is almost entirely Shia and largely sympathetic to Hezbollah (although not exclusively). In Beirut and the non-Shia areas of the country, the Lebanese government remains fully in control.

Lebanon has one of the most complex political systems and environments in the country. It's a triumvirate with 2 principals largely opposing Hezbollah and 1 principal as an ally of Hezbollah.
Lebanon is almost equally comprised of Christians, Shias, and Sunnis. Having a Sunni say something negative about Hezbollah is not really news.

Is that your answer? because them and Lebanon have issues.
I had two, distinct and clear answers for you. I'm not sure how else you would like me to convey my answers. Israel is consistently breaking the MOU, America broke the MOU yesterday by threatening to kill Iran's negotiators.

In response to their leadership threatening, correct?
No.

Do you need me to spell it out for you
1. I think the US ally, Israel, is driving the ongoing breaking of the MOU.
2. I think the US, via it's President, broke the MOU yesterday when he threatened to kill the Iranian negotiating delegation.

So, just to be clear, you think the breaking of the agreement was facilitated by America?
I think the US has not handled it's ally in Israel, leading to an ongoing breaking of the agreement by the US, and Trump, threatening to kill Iran's negotiating delegation yesterday, broke the agreement yesterday. Here's the text of the first point in the MOU
quote:
1 — The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and their allies in the current war are signing this MOU to declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
