I was at the SC game in 2019. SC was 25-point underdogs that game. The entire town of Athens was stunned that day.

Seeing as LSU finished 15th and South Carolina finished 16th in men's basketball and their women's teams are in the Top 5, this makes sense.

Shane Beamer says South Carolina football OL Jacarrius Peak will miss spring, not be fully cleared in summer, but "fully anticipate him being ready to roll when September rolls around."
Hopefully he'll be ready for this Fall.

The answer is No. Just like South Carolina wouldn't have a National Championship in 2017 if Miss State didn't upset UCONN in the semifinals. Sometimes it simply takes a little bit of luck on your side.
