And yet, during this abortion of a season...Mizzou 11, Ill-annoy 9. Splain that one.

Yes, our team sucks...almost as much as your punctuation.

Not a huge surprise. Golden is in his 6th year, Scheyer his 3rd. They will get many opportunities.
Kelvin Sampson does surprise me a little. Heck of a coach, great career, but no morals. With today's NIL and transfer portal, rules are fuzzy. But in the past, he was as dirty as dirty can be (think Pitino, Self, Tarkanian, Crum, et al).
Fun fact, from Wiki:
"When he was hired at Houston, Sampson became only the fourth coach to get a head coaching job at another school after receiving a show-cause (after Bozeman, Senderoff and Bruce Pearl)".

Yes, as well as selfishness. Prior to the game I told a friend that Arky had a lot of talent and beat some good teams, but when things turn south they self-implode. A lot of finger-pointing and "gimme the ball".
Good run, Arky. Hopefully, Cal can get rid of some of the bad apples and build depth.

How did that monstrosity even get past the first level of approval? It gave me a headache after about 30 seconds. The only good thing about it was watching the kansass Blue Chickens lose.

I was watching at a sports bar (without sound) when they reviewed the play where he drove around Crews, who stuck his arm out. Hubbard grabbed Crews' arm, then threw his head and arms back to draw the foul. After review, they upheld the foul against Crews. Did they give an explanation?
College basketball video reviews are as ridiculous as baseball and football reviews. They take forever and rarely get them right.

I rarely think of Mizzou baseball (much like our admin), so I would be hard-pressed to come up with even one.

Thanks for the insight, guys.
As for Frankenstein, I always hated the dirty way his teams played and he was WAY too intense on the sidelines, always bitching about the refs or his players. There were rumors Mizzou was going to hire him in 2012 and I thank God that never happened. When we played his Kansas State teams he was always a prick.
Paris does seem likeable, but based on his track record I am not convinced he is a good coach. It is not going to get any easier in the SEC.
Good luck.

I saw the graphic during last night's game, his record at SCe:
2022-23: 11-21
2023-24: 26-8
2024-25: 12-18
I looked up his record-as a head coach he went 87-72 at Chattanooga and made the NCAA tournament once in 5 years. On the plus side, his record improved each year.
Why was he hired at SCe? He has no connections to the school or state.
How do fans feel about him? Lynch mob time, give him a couple years, or just apathy?
How do fans feel about Frankenstein Martin? Miss him, hate him, glad he's gone?
TIA

Oooh, topography smack talk. It's what the blue chickens have been reduced to. Sad, really.
I laughed hard last night when the camera caught Bill "Plugs" Self near the end of the game screaming "FUUUUUUUUUCKKKK!!!". His eyes were bulging, his face was red, and he went from player to player to referee yelling at all of them for his terrible coaching. It was glorious.

Granted, but you cannot deny that Bob Ramsey is insufferable. Earl Austin is a passable analyst until he gets drawn into Ramsey's constant whining about every single call that goes against SLU. It is painful.

Even when I watch the game on TV, I mute it and listen to the radio broadcast. They are very professional and we are lucky to have them.
Living in St. Louis, I have the misfortune of occasionally listening to the SLU Billikens basketball on the radio. Those guys epitomize homerism and whine about EVERY single call.

No, it does not tell you all you need to know.
How about Bama shooting 31 3's? You are not going to get a lot of fouls from those.
How about going hard to the basket and scoring tough points? You are going to get a lot of 2-shot fouls and "And-1's". Mizzou did that all night.
How about Bama, down 12 points, playing "Hack-a-Shaq" the last 4 minutes of the game to stop the clock?
I was at a high school game last year and one of the coaches tried your argument. 3 minutes into the game one very aggressive team was being called for foul after foul. The coach complained to the ref "Look at the fouls, it's 7-1 against us". The ref deadpanned "Well, stop fouling".

Porter has lost the last 3 games by 20+ points and has failed to make the tournament any year he's been here so yeah I'd say he may be done. The Lloyd Noble Center is great for gymnastics but sucks for basketball nobody like going to games there. Also the Thunder have pretty much killed OU and OSU basketball.
Sorry to hear that. I know the awful feeling when a team quits on it's coach.
Fun fact from last night's broadcast. MU and OU played each other in the MO Valley, Big 6, Big 8, and Big 12 for 93 years and now picked it up again. OU leads the all-time series 115-98.
