re: South Carolina too poor to fire Lamont Paris

$10 million to buy him out.
The AD that gave him that ridiculous contract (6 years, $26 million), which also includes an $11 million buyout, needs to not only be fired, but publicly ridiculed.
Here's to hoping that performance-based contracts with no buyouts become the new norm. Which AD is going to have the cajones to be the first?

Mizzou +7.5 on the road? Book it, easy win for A&M. No way Mizzou wins this one.
And this, my friends, is why I am reminded on a daily basis NOT to gamble.
I wish I had a nickel for every friend who has told me "I got 5 out of 6 on my parlay", or "I almost won $1,000 on that Mizzou game". Gamblers are worse liars than day traders.
Entertaining game. Mizzou's zone defense is horrible and even 11 first-half 3 pointers by Aggie was not enough for Gates to make adjustments.
Offense looked good. Pierce and Barrett, especially.
A lot of standing around by Aggie defense. Really poor body language.
Wait a second, that big kid has an Indians uniform on. I demand an investigation.

BASEBALL? Hell, the snow hasn't even melted here.

Of course there is a reason I am not still a gambling man.
Let me guess...you made a small fortune by starting with a large fortune.
It's what we do. Occasionally beat a good team, then shite the bed against the bad ones.
Gators, I am sorry we poked the bear. I don't know how we beat you, but since then you have been blowing people out (excepting Auburn).
We would lose by 50 if we played again.
I like the way your guys play. It is refreshing to watch a team that actually passes the ball, blocks out, plays defense, and knows how to use the low post. Good luck the rest of the way.

I think the current college team would win.
Most of those guys that played in the NFL in the 1970s are well into their 70s now and probably don't move as fast as they used to.

re: CNBC Ranks Texas as Most Valuable College Athletic Program; 5 SEC Programs in Top 10

CNBC's list reflects the current enterprise value of each program, starting with a base revenue multiple of four for all institutions, and then adjusting the multiple for variables, including conference affiliation, estimated NIL spend, school subsidies, number of alumni and other factors that can catalyze revenue growth and profitability.
FWIW: Here is the methodology for their rankings. Sounds real objective. I really like "other factors that can catalyze revenue growth and profitability".

Glad to hear all the positive comments about this young man.
We have a new OC, a strong returning running game, and at least 2 proven receivers, so I am cautiously optimistic about the offense.
However, I AM a Mizzou fan, so the steel-lined cup is firmly in place.

having Pierce and Stone healthy is massive.
Like night and day with them playing. We may even win a couple more SEC games if they stay healthy.
This game was almost unwatchable. Random foul calls, horrible shooting, the dreaded 5-out offense (which is ubiquitous nowadays). I've even seen it in high school games.

I still get a laugh out of this old joke whenever I am in Kansas City:
Mangino (to gas station attendant): How do I get to 435?
Attendant: Maybe try a salad once in a while?

It's the punch line to a good joke. Blonde catches her husband in bed with another woman, holds a gun to her own head. Husband laughs, blonde says "Go ahead and laugh, you're next".
