Would you be for or against Bama playing a game in the UK?

Was watching the highlights of ASU-Kansas played in London. I have mixed feelings if Bama was playing there.
On the one hand, it’d be pretty cool for our players to get to go the UK and maybe help a bit with recruiting.
On the other hand, a sizable chunk of our fan base probably couldn’t afford to attend the game.
Thoughts?

Against. Bama can’t get mentally prepared to play in Ttown, much less 3,000 miles away.

I will say, we have a pretty big following in the UK. There hasn’t been one time I’ve gone to England and had random people stop me to talk to me about Alabama football while wearing gear.

We wouldn't be going there to play Cambridge or Oxford. The other team will have jet lag also. So blaming a loss on that would be a bullshite excuse.

The Rams and 49ers took entirely different approaches week one playing in Australia, and it showed.
Then you still have to come back and re-acclimate for part of the next game week vs a team who didn't fly to the UK.

I believe that all of the evidence shows this is a bad decision. Teams come back and have bad seasons. The travel and schedule disruption are too much.
I can’t see anything to gain from this, unless you are the NCAA or merch companies seeking to market to Europe.

This. This phenom should be a Bowl Game, not in the regular season

It would be a marketing tool to publicize the brand, it would have absolutely zero to do with our current core fan base.
I don’t love the idea. I would not hate it if it was the first game of the season and we had an open date or played someone like Mercer afterward.

My wife and I are finally at a stage in life where I’d live to go to UK for a game and take a couple of weeks there to stay and see everything. It would be a blast.
