Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. has been dismissed from the football program following his arrest on misdemeanor charges of harassing communications and doxing.

According to court documents, Kirkpatrick allegedly sent a threatening Facebook message to a University of Alabama police officer who was involved in his arrest last year.

Kirkpatrick is also accused of posting a picture of the officer, his wife, and their two children on Facebook with the caption "Dis him?" The officer reportedly expressed concerns for his family's safety.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer announced Kirkpatrick's dismissal on Tuesday.

"After gathering more information on the situation, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will no longer be a part of our program," DeBoer said. "He did not live up to the standards and expectations that I have set for this team and our players."

Kirkpatrick was previously arrested in November 2025 on charges that included reckless endangerment, attempting to elude police, and speeding. He was suspended for the remainder of last season before returning in 2026.

The junior defensive back, who is the son of former Alabama and NFL cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, appeared in seven games for the Crimson Tide this season.
