LOL. Saban was the first coach to use Skype to talk to a recruit. The staff is monitoring our players activity right now via Apple Watches. They have GPS tech inside of the pads that help coaches make the players more efficient. UA just hired the most forward thinking S&C duo in the country.
If you think Saban is going to lose out on the innovation front because he made some corny remark about email, then you don’t know him.

That's what I am saying, he is on the cutting edge in every other aspect but proudly says he has never sent a text, email, tweet.
And Bear Bryant used to say that 1-5 Vanderbilt team we were about to play was bigger, stronger and better coached. We'd be fortunate to win. Did you believe Bear then? Wake up, my man.

We had a top 2 class, so it has been verified
Recruiting classes aren't verified on the internet, and certainly not after their first year on campus.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... internet recruiting rankings are more like your TV weatherman's 7 day forecast. You won't know what you're getting until its here.

I mean, the forecast is pretty reliable though.

Cave man Saban got a nice commitment today. Maybe he’s figured out how to recruit a little bit.

There are NO camps. A lot of these football players are committing to teams they haven't even visited yet. Pruitt and Mack Brown and others who have made hay while the lockdown continues are trusting tape, press clippings and they are trying to secure who they can when they can.
Did you know that more players have committed at this time in May (over 625) than the last 2 recruiting cycles put together? These kids don't know how this thing is playing out either. So they are obviously trying to secure something as well. It does make sense to me that when things get moving and these players get a chance to visit, talk, and work in camps many are going to have second thoughts and cold feet. If this isolation doesn't change, all bets are off.

This thread has aged.....poorly. I still don't understand how anyone could be worried about recruiting with Saban in charge. The man could sell garlic to a vampire.

The bigger issue for me and recruiting is the ESD. As soon as the season gets sorted out I do expect the NCAA to have a say about the early recruiting season. There are a lot of kids that have signed up for programs and haven't taken an official to the school. I'm looking for some serious de-committing in the future either way.

I can’t even imagine what a Saban tweet would be like, though. But I can imagine him getting furious the first time he tweets out a typo and realized you can’t edit.
