He's the 3rd best Alabama Quarterback to win the Superbowl behind Bart Starr and Kenny Stabler.

Well Kirk Herbstreit looks like an idiot.
Bolded schools not in the top 10 most-watched.
quote:
“So, this idea we want Alabama, Texas A&M and Auburn. Are you kidding me?”
“We could not have paid for a better final four with Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Texas,” Herbstreit told On3. “The only one missing is Michigan ...
“If you are asking us, who would we want, we’ll take Ohio State every year, Notre Dame every year. This is a ratings bonanza,” he explained

4 cans and they let you go in for a play at right tackle.
re: So gumps what have the “Cancer 5” demanded in return for the LSU win

I was a little bummed when I didn't see any LSU fans go into nuclear meltdown like normal last night. I thought maybe they've accepted their fate with a mediocre coach and the fact that they're a perennial 8-9 win program with a good season thrown in every 15 years.
And that they've just gone numb to losing to Alabama so much so that a coach from Washington and Fresno St. came in and not only destroyed them, but completely embarrassed them in their home stadium ON HIS FIRST TRY with what will be his worst team at Alabama.
But after this thread it seems like it was only a delayed reaction. Thank you to TutHillTiger for restoring my faith that LSU fans can have a good ole ballistic Bayou meltdown with conspiracies to stick the landing.
I thought that little Cajun alien James Carville embarrassed you guys enough with the Alabama Football conspiracies on national television where ESPN had to apologize on his behalf.
But getting pantsed in your own stadium at night by a dude from South Dakota who's never stepped foot in a Southern stadium before this year was embarrassing enough.

re: T Bob is equal to Yell leaders in terms of embarrassment to a school.

Honestly think TBob is just a professional wrestling gimmick. He went on a rant after their loss to USC that I thought was really funny.
Moscona is someone that looks and sounds like he's never left the city limits of Baton Rouge. His perception of LSU and its importance is completely warped and almost propaganda like.
His "Bama is Burning" gimmick lost steam when Alabama closed extremely well on recruiting this year and will close with the #1 class in 2025. It lost steam when Alabama beat UGA.
It completely collapsed last night when DeBoer throttled LSU in his 1st meeting. Unfortunately for LSU this will be DeBoer's most beatable team at Alabama and they still got destroyed.
Moscona compared DeBoer to Les Miles because, again, his perception is not very, let's say, worldly as he lives in a Baton Rouge bubble similar to Adam Sandler in the Waterboy where "Mama said...but mama said" was his perception of reality.
Moscona and TBob are used car salesmen with a microphone, figuratively and literally as they whore themselves out for ads to the local Baton Rouge bail bonds company every 15 minutes.
Except TBob's is a pro wrestling gimmick. Moscona actually believes what he's saying because he's never stepped foot out of Baton Rouge city limits and isn't educated about football beyond the state of Louisiana.

I've noticed when there's a blowout in this game it's always Alabama destroying LSU.
When LSU wins it's always just barely.

"Without Nick Saban or Bear Bryant..."
So if you take out 41 years of history? Yeah, I'd say that'd hurt any program.
Except Alabama had 3 more national championship winning coaches outside those 2.
Without Dooley or Smart UGA is Mississippi State.

re: Greg McElroy said Auburn boosters are running the offense and who plays QB.

Off topic but Finebaum brought up to Greg that one prominent political party head in Alabama told Paul he approached Greg about running for office.
Greg confirmed that both political parties in Alabama have approached him in the past.
I personally think they're readying Greg for Herbstreit's role when that time comes, so doubt he ever pursues political office.

re: Where do visiting bands sit at your stadium and why is Texas so petty about it?
Posted by secuniversity on 9/21/24 at 2:12 am
Texas being petty is why the Million Dollar Band didn't make the trip to their stadium.
Alabama repaid the favor a year later and sent their band to the corner of an upper deck of Bryant-Denny even though Alabama always gives opposing schools' band a prime location in the lower bowl.
SEC rules specifically prevents Texas from being able to do this anymore. But because Alabama and Texas played each other as non-conference, it allowed Texas to be unprofessional and petty and for Alabama to be petty back.

It just had its most-watched regular season episode in 8 years. If anything its having a resurgence.
Saban being known outside the CFB world looks like it's bringing in casuals, especially with him being in like 3 different commercials.
