I’m starting to fear we won’t get the help we neeed.

We got the help we needed in 2011
We got the help we needed in 2012
We got the help we needed in 2017.

We might be due for a year where we don’t get the help we need

I mean, just looking ahead;

Alabama

1. Chattanooga (FCS)
2. Auburn (6-4)
3. #2 Georgia (10-0)

Compared to;

Oregon

1. Arizona State (3-7)
2. #12 Oregon State (8-2)
3. #5 Washington (10-0)

Committee has Oregon's current resume above us, and they can add two ranked wins, including an undefeated one. We won't jump them, our resume won't be better than theirs then if it isn't now.

Washington

1. #12 Oregon State (8-2)
2. Washington State (5-5)
3. #6 Oregon (9-1 presumably)

We're not moving past them if they're undefeated. If they lose to Oregon State or Wazzu, it presents a 12-1 where we could potentially pass them.

Florida State

1. North Alabama (FCS)
2. Florida (5-5)
3. #11 Louisville (9-1) or #24 UNC (8-2)

So to nip this in the bud right off the bat, we're not jumping an undefeated FSU, but one loss or any other ACC champ and they're out/we're in.

Texas

1. Iowa State (5-5)
2. Texas Tech (5-4)
3. Soon to be unranked Oklahoma State (7-3) or #17 Oklahoma (8-2)

Texas wins out, we're not jumping them because of head to head. We have no argument.

The easiest "lock" for us to get in, in this scenario, would be Texas losing a second time. 12-1 Washington beating Oregon is another angle, might be able to jump them just based on their weak losses.

I made this thread like 5 days, and we are not getting any of the breaks we need so far. It's a bad feeling we are the odd one out again.

losses by SEC teams to other conferences this year is going to strangle us even if we win SECCG.

All of the excuses are in place this year to keep Bama out.

Having said all that .. we wont beat UGA

I thought we would beat Georgia before this last weekend. We looked good but so did they. The game could come down to a bounce here and a bounce there. We have won all of them with bounces the last few years. They could be due. Hope we prevail again, but Smart does seem to be a motivator. He reminds me of Barney on the Flintstones but looks can be deceiving.

I always think this and then weird shite happens anyway. I just don't see 4+ teams winning out as expected

There’s still a lot of football. History tells me that all those teams won’t hold serve. If we win out I really like our chances. Sucks to not control your own destiny but we are still in a good spot.

Pretty wild to me that after what the SEC has done over the last decade (which has mainly been Alabama) that a 1 loss SEC champion could left home.

Also shows why there’s zero o incentive schedule a quality non-conference opponent. If we had played Alabama A&M instead Texas, we would be ranked 1 or 2 at the moment.

....IF (BIG IF) Bama beats UGA they will be the #4 team since Mich and tOSU play each other. There is no way the committee leaves out the SEC CG Winner even with 1 loss

Bama and UGA both have to win out for this to be the case. Resume is way better than anybody on the West Coast.

Louisville is going to give FSU all they want, and more

Oregon St is going to catch one of either UW or Oregon

Texas will win out, last night was the chance

My fear is the P12 12-1 champ gets in over us, which would be bullshite, but they’ve been over-inflating the P12 all year. The committee is telling us that unless all hell breaks loose, the P12 will have a rep this year.

If they leave us out again this season as an SEC Champ we will embarrass them even worse than we did last season.

I refuse to believe it. We beat Georgia and we're in.

They play three better teams than TCU in the next three weeks.

Refuse it all you want but we need help to get in. That’s just a fact at this point.

Where, though? Road vs at home is huge. Washington plays at Oregon State, an underrated venue. OSU used to knock out Pete Carroll's USC every other year.

Alabama needs to beat Georgia and pass three other teams.

Two of the teams ahead of them are guaranteed to lose a game.

Texas or FSU losing won’t be a 4th and 25 type of miracle. Texas in particular has been living on the edge all season and they have two respectable foes and a conference title game left.

Florida beating FSU would be very fun, and likely put us in, if we beat Georgia.

Obviously, I have little hope of that happening, but if it did, then we play Georgia, one of OSU or Michigan lose, one of Oregon and Washington have to lose. That puts us in even if Texas won out. Final rankings would be:

1. OSU/Michigan winner
2. PAC 12 Champ
3. Texas
4. Alabama
5. Georgia
6. OSU/Michigan loser
7. ACC Champ
