its not even a patriotic song, its about domestic abuse. I, for one, will not be playing it this 4th of July. Looks like its going to be Lee Greenwood on repeat this year

I know. I imagine it’s getting deleted off of Spotify playlists as we speak.
The stupid thing on Martina’s part is “Independence Day” was probably going to be played a million times this summer. She cost herself money by bending the knee to a bunch Instagram commentators.
Look at the comments on her IG. She totally bent the knee to the woke mob.

To call Sankey a POS IS disingenuous.

Thanks Mrs. Sankey

Perception is reality

That perception wasn’t costing the SEC anything come playoff time. Nobody in that playoff committee room factored it in. The complaining about it came solely from Big 10 fans and douchebag journos who moved on as soon as it was over.

Another accusation surfaces. This time she’s being accused of election interference. She needs jailtime.

Don’t forget the line where she said “Y’all love kissing that white arse” to her black employees.

The really sad thing is she beat a well respected and well liked attorney who ran on the R ticket that had a decent shot at winning because a lot of moderate democrats knew she would be a trainwreck. Woodfin endorsed Blanchard TWICE. His arse should answer for this mess. “Vote Blue No Matter Who” was their line.

Nobody is going to pay attention to a Probate Judge race during a Presidential year but if anyone had and had seen her videos, they would’ve slept outside their polling place so they could be first in line to vote against her. Straight up hoodrat.

The scary thing is that this story isn’t over yet. She likely stole a ton of money as well.

No. But it’s expected then.

So? It is just a perception that it’s expected.

It also doesn’t add much to get a win over a crappy team that late in the year.

Does it add much to get a win over a crappy team at the beginning of the year?

Plus, I don't like the idea of the Big Ten calling the shots and forcing the SEC into anything.

Then you need to push for a change in Commissioner because Sankey excels at that.

fell a little short in that conference championship

That’s putting it mildly….
The faux outrage and pearl clutching over this was silly. Who cares if you play a cupcake in late November? There’s no law in sports that says your schedule is supposed to get tougher at the end of the year.

The only people crying about this were Big 10 fanboys and journos who will find something else to complain about.

Sankey once again lobbying to make things tougher for SEC teams.

It's funny with the Dems. They had 2 or 3 black candidates in the statewide primary for Governor. Who did they pick? The nastiest, sorriest, whitest guy you could ever imagine. Funny that.

Not to mention he’s a rich and lives in Mtn Brook. It’s not like he’s lives on some farm in the Black Belt.

Alabama Liberals are some of the most pretentious racists in the country.

Bob Menery’s downfall should be studied.

Dude sucks. Unfollowed some time ago. He had a nice little gimmick with the fake announcer thing but became a douche.
Seems relevant with the end of Colbert.

Johnny Carson’s final episode on May 22, 1992 can be seen as the symbolic end of a more culturally unified America. Carson was was one of the last figures who brought millions of Americans together every night, regardless of politics, class, or geography. Republicans and Democrats watched the same monologue, laughed at the same jokes, and shared the same cultural experience. Carson’s final show saw an audience of over 30 million. Colbert saw 8 m

There’s also a deeper psychological point: Carson represented a nightly ritual of national togetherness. At 11:30 PM, millions of Americans ended the day together. That kind of synchronized cultural rhythm matters more than people realize.

After his retirement, you saw a lot more fragmentation of media consumption and thus fracturing of American life. Not saying his retirement directly caused it, but it was certainly huge marker in our culture.

All of that came to an end 34 years ago tonight.

Alabama Residents, who you going for today?

Gov - Tuberville
Lt. Gov. - Wes Allen
Senator - Jared Hudson
Attorney General - Jay Mitchell
Secretary of State - Caroleene Dobson
State Treasurer - Steve Lolley
State Auditor - Derek Chen
PSC - Chip Beeker & Jeremy Oden
Not one dissenting vote. I’d wager that 80% of the fans (and even media) were against this but the vote was unanimous anyway.

Tells you a lot about how out of touch the bureaucrats running college sports are.

I need that schmuck Running Jacket explain to me how this is good for cfb.

Worst poster on this entire website. The guy have 60+ teams with each player making 1 million and could transfer midseason if it were up to him.
quote:

Dying? Ypu guys are funny. Having 24 fanbases buying tickets and filling up stadiums instead of 4 teams is not a dying sport. How bout this - when your team is hosting a first round playoff game backup your words with an empty stadium. But, of course, your packed stadium will prove you guys are all wrong. Your fanbase will eat it up. I know if my team makes the playoffs I’ll be there.

This guy would turn the Masters into a LIV event because it would mean “moar people” and would “moar fun.”

There were those thirty minutes between when they announced there would be an unscheduled presidential address and when we finally got news about it that was a little disconcerting.

No kidding. Nobody had a clue. Some wild theories were being tossed around. (Aliens, nukes, meteor, etc.)
