good take on OL woes

Posted by LaneB on 12/26/25 at 3:02 pm
you may hate pollack but he is right on money ...

"Does Alabama on the offensive line have a talent problem? Do they have untalented guys? Do they have small, tiny guys? Their center is pretty small. Besides that, do they have small, tiny guys? They are big physical dudes that should be able to move me. They should be able to move people. It doesn't make sense. The lack of toughness and physicality on the offensive line, it doesn't make sense."

Most posters here don’t remember pre-2007 or weren’t Bama fans then. They certainly don’t remember 1960.

I was in Denny Apt next to stadium when they threw brick in Curry's office
Actually I might be the minority who liked Curry then
Talking of LA Monroe loss .. doubts were overcome by intense belief that he was going to turn over the program. I was absolutely convinced he would win one NC ... what I had greatest fear was he would bolt in 3 years or less
quote:

Nick Saban started 10-15 against top 25 teams in his first 25 games btw, starting from his first P4 job at Mich State

Thats not a fair comparison at all. Even Shula wins 10 games at Bama
quote:

Saban was a chain smoker for years

I did not know that .. he seems very healthy for a chain smoker
quote:

Imagine the amount of shite posting about the offense had message boards been a thing during the Stallings era

maybe you are not aware but message boards were a thing even in Stallings era.

There was a UA listserv group then. I believe I used to login to UA IBM 3090 XA to access it .. could be wrong about how I accessed it. memory is fading

Our coach is really good when having extra prep time, which is why I have high hopes for the Indiana game.

I think our higher overall recruiting rating than IU might mean we have better speed ... Just have to give them a chance in space
quote:

I understand that getting down 17-0 was embarrassing, but it’s not like it hadn’t happened before.

it wasnt the score .. it was the fact the offense did not have a single first down and had less than 10 yds total
quote:

Yep. Having to resort to criticizing the timing of a snap on a punt instead of celebrating the first ever road win in the CFP just shows how far they'll reach to hate on DeBoer. They'd rather Bama lose so they'll be able to say they were right about DeBoer being a bad hire than the team be successful.

That is not the correct take at all.

We have incessantly criticized CNS or even during Stallings era for things we observe on the field. Bama fans are so dedicated to the product that they wish for better and better success for the program - something like what a parent does when he is asking his child to correct the mistakes to handle the adversity in adulthood. Granted we cant effect this change .. only coaches can but maybe its wishful thinking

seems like any team i watch on TV has better receivers .. major programs as well as small schools whose receivers are undersized

10 on OU is a piece of shite who I would have liked to see us frick up really bad.

All Venables teams play extremely dirty football though. Clemson always had a bunch of guys like that while he was there.

yup .. who was that clemson lineman who used to play with junk underneath the pile

Tebow and Cris Doering are two blatant Bama hating Florida guys. Neither one likes to give us credit even when it’s justified.

Nope both guys support Bama plenty but I have to admit Tebow was very negative last couple of days. Maybe he bet house on Okl and got burned

All that said, its still difficult to determine how good IU really is relative to the rest of CFB at this point...until Jan 1

Their identity is defense, QB and WR

If we cannot consistently put pressure on their QB and throw off their WR off route, it will be an easy IU win.

If our defense can generate pressure and OL can hold up, we win.

Their defense is good but not at SEC level ... so its all upto Wommack I feel
quote:

It did not hit his hands. He doesnt catch with his hands. It hit his chest.

He literally cant catch a football.

I would rather have IU receivers ... see if they are willing to transfer

That penalty could have been a disaster

That should have been a 5 yd penalty with 1st down
should i endure this shite show ..so tempted to go back to netflix series

actually I will not mind if deboer goes to Mich ... we need a more physical oriented coach
such a wasted timeout .. we take timeout before punting
quote:

Getting juked by this janitor at QB should remove your scholarship. My God he has no wiggle

we have some bad football players .. was the eval so bad or they have gotten rotten in program. That is why the 17 player draft prediction this year is so off
